It might well be that "rated input power" means the most you can put in before it burns, not the amount it usually draws. It would be possible to do some maths and work out whether (220.3CFM of air) + (59dB from an object with the aproximate weight of a fan) = 31W.Quote:

I do think your right about the peak consumption though. and typically my fans run at 50% speed anyways
There are some absurd computer fans on frozencpu.com.
The problem is that you will have to bolt your computer to the floor.
That's a lot of fan.
It would seem this discussion has gotten out of hand :P
