it'll be hacked cracked and running on pirate steam servers inside 24 hours.
FYI look in the right places and you can purchase Thailand BF3 keys for 8.99$, you'll need to torrent the appropriate region discs but the language options are the same across all of them.

You could always visit warez land and find some sort of keyreg or nocd or whatever. I wouldn't normally recommend that, but I personally don't feel at all bad circumventing anti-piracy when I've legitimately paid for the product.
eBay should maintain a list of non-transferrable products (like those Steam games which require activation) they won't post without warning messages to prospective buyers.
