and finally with the window below it
this was kind of a spur of the moment idea as far as design, what do you guys think?
This is gonna look awesome. I love how you have layered and overlapped the materials, a great effect.
Looks sick man, +rep for sure.

UPDATE TIME!
well... i bought myself a scroll saw...which was severely disappointing
about 5 minutes into use the power/speed knob came off in my hand... so im going to get a hitachi saw on saturday
but while i have this saw...may as well get some work done eh?
got a couple shots of me working
just about there
and done
and some closing shots
UPDATE TIME
ok well i got a bit more work done tonight after work
well.. i got motivated and got my new saw tonight
i must say this saw is amazing...tons better than the taskforce saw
along with the saw...i also got...
a sheet of aluminum... im gonna layer over the trim pieces ive made with the alu
traced out the pattern for my cuts
side by side
and layered
this saw is gonna make my work so much easier... im really excited about future projects :)
That Hitachi scroll saw looks much better than the other one you had. Work is perfect as always.
yea scroll saws are you much help like i bought one the other day and today i was like meh ill remake that piece in wood and bam 2 seconds later im done...
yeah...im really loving the saw... its amazing.
im starting to get close to completing this mod...finally eh?
looks like a monster of a saw :)
UPDATE TIME!
i dont have any pics of the side trim, but ive gotten all the aluminum trim cut over teh acrylic i have so far
tonight i did some work on my front panel. i needed to have some trim on there that went with the rest of the case
i started out with the center piece and cut my angles on each end of it
i then began on some other parts
the two pieces completedm all the acrylic will be topped with aluminum as well
next i laid out my lines for the windows on the front door
and began cutting
this is where i sit now what do you guys think?
That is looking really good. Very nice work. Time for me to update lol.
very nice cuttig man thats great i know how annoying those saws can get for straight lines
looks good
Can't wait mate.
time for a new update
well i didnt get too much done tonight. i cleaned up the cuts on the door windows to make them completely even
and a final shot with the door open
this is where i sit now, your thoughts?
cool very nice
I think it is looking really good ATM Sean. Have you contemplated making a grill for that fan?
ive got the basic idea i want for my grill in my head, should be coming with the next update :)
Great, can't wait to see it. I thought you had one up your sleeve.
well, ive been putting off an update for a while now, but i believe its that time again
well, i had to remake a piece of acrylic because the last piece cracked when drilling
this piece was the one that will go in the front of the drive bays to act as a cover
all cut out and in place, its a snug fit
i then drilled out the holes for the X-FI front audio panel
and cut the holes with my trusty scroll saw
i followed this up with the slot for the DVD drive
and a couple shots with the door...
heres a shot with all the top trim in place
the next thing i needed to work on was the alu cover for the drives and such
all cut and filed to size
i then cut and filed the notch for the door latch
and with the door in place
i also cut out the window for one of the FutureLan etches
its not just going to be an etch...but youll have to wait to find out what itll be :)
as i had mentioned to The_boy_4rm_oz, ill have some custom fangrills for this case, so why not a custom way to mount them as well
i made myself a template, the bottom edge of it forms to the shape of the case around the fan, and the large rounded matches the curve of the door and divider
all cut and sanded to size...
...and then there were two
that about wraps it up for this update, all questions and comments are welcome
Love the plexi cover. Is that alu piece the actual door that opens or what?
the alu will be mounted to the front of the drive area, i still need to cut the slot for the drve still
i love it,... looks so great man +rep
thanks jeff, im glad you like it
