I think you could have used a few more cutting disks. Good thing you have them in quantity, I counted the use of 16 disks before the video cut out. Looks sweet though man.

I can't overstate the importance of reinforced disks... they last considerably longer and never shatter, so my eyeglasses and a mask are sufficient protection. Considering that at certain angles, Dremels do like to bounce around, and that I'm impatient and crank the speed way up once the wheel's worn down about halfway, this is crucial. Even the standard wheels tend to last longer, in my experience, if I go over an entire line first, cutting partway through, then repeat, rather than cutting straight down (from the top down, rather than the side on). A light touch works wonders, and it seems you've got that. :)
Great work as always, 'Nille. Coming along beautifully.
Personally, I prefer the non-reinforced disks - sure you use a lot more of them, but they're a lot cheaper so cost-wise I don't think there's a huge difference, and non-reinforced disks seem to leave a cleaner, more accurate cut. Long straight cuts, maybe then I'd use a reinforced one, but any curves or detail work, always the non's... I don't think I used a single reinforced disk on all of the cuts for Lobo... Damn I need to work on that case but I'm now at paint stage and the weather isn't co-operating.....
It goes on and on ;)

In the morning I bought some new cutting disks, some of the not reenforced ones. 36 pieces all gone after a bit time. So I went to an other shop and bought some reinforced and some other for reserve.
But in the end I also prefer the reinforced. I got the feeling they dont get destroyed as fast as the othe ones.
Hey guys,
here's just a brief update about my new soundsystem Teufel Motiv 2 and my new soundcard Auzentech X-Fi Forte
Pics of the card will follow in sometime :)
Great photography. What's the program running on the screen on the right? Awesome build so far btw.
thanks mate, the programm is winamp at that momment it played something from the new hypocrisy album ^^
took a "few" new pics
Again new HW
-Western Digital Caviar Green 1500GB
-Sony NEC Optiarc AD-7670S Slim Slot-In
-Scythe Quiet Drive
-Seasonic X-Series X-650

Seasonic X650
Nice and simple, yet good and strong and very clean looking frame, the build is looking great so far :).
Auzentech are the best with the high quality components used and even better since they got the x-fi license making them THE best soundcards. Now if only ATI bought into the physx license, but maybe nvidia are taking the mick with the price, I imagine they are.
Ooooh, I like the 100% modular psu.
I'd expect a hdd to cook inside an eclosure like that though, even if it is the green version but can't say for sure.
For dremeling large not so detailed areas I prefer reinforced discs, for detailed areas I find the cheaper thin 0.64mm brittle ones great, sure they easily break but if careful you can achieve pretty good detail, but lately I seem to prefer using reinforced discs close to where I want it and then use files, as I hate getting covered in metal dust and looking like I've been antiqued lol, I'm still waiting for my reinforced discs and mandrels to come from the us before I start on a final front panel for the air cube v2, for 20 dremel brand reinforced discs in uk is about £24, from us none branded and just as good about £10 for 100 but I found the hole is too big for a standard mandrel so I'm waiting for a batch of them too, I'm itching to get started on it :).

Looks great, keep it up!
Great work in Alu!!! Did you do it by hand?
thanks,
yeah i did all the cutting with a dremel and then filing like hell ^^
look what i've done :D
nice job, especially by hand.
OOOOOOO looks good. That back plate looks as good as a "factory" piece. +rep for all that hand filing.
you take a damaged 8800ultra from your brother
get the oven up to 105°C
Let it bake 30minutes
and it works again xD
got a new chair :D
and iv done this today:
Looks good!
I've seen some great success with the "oven method" and I'm glad to hear another success story from you!
today this litte nice package arrived
That's what in it:
looks quite nice the silver edge will become black somehow ^^
Finally did something again.

first part
second part
My new Dremel after my old one didnt work any more
my hand with a "little" bit alu on it ^^
my face looks quite the same ^^
this is a sign you have modders disease. You will slowly morph into a computer.
LOL
My face allways ends like that too!
yay i always wanted to be a computer :D :D
well i always thought im the only one ^^ but its quite logical cause the spin just brings it all up to the face.
But its still quite weird when your under the show and pieces of cutting wheels come out your hair ;)
Just so long as you wear a dust mask. Breathing that stuff if very bad for the lungs.
:D :D
and on it goes
made a hole for the dvd drive.
a little problem occured cause i didnt realise that those angles and rivets where down there.. of course both made of steel.
but now it fits :D
expect this little thing up there. i'm gonna open the drive and cut it away ;)
Nice progress man, I experienced similar problems but I removed the angle and made some other connection so I wouldnt cut it. Bring it on! :) Peace!
got a few prob atm
take a look at this
its like all over the case because the plates are crafted and the frame is handmade.. i think ill need to build a new one.
but this time i think ill buy the frame pieces cut to the right size already to avoid similiar problems..
