The program is use is AfterEffects.
Actually I work on the plan for my water reservior. Can anyone send me a datasheet of plugs like this one ? I need the size of it.
Funny, I just started working on some AE tutorials before reading that. Have you seen http://videocopilot.net? Some great stuff there.
And i'm no help when it come to water cooling, maybe ask down in the cooling section.
congrats, this is shaping up to be a great mod
I DID IT! Not the complete Case but the larges projekt on the case: The moveable cover-plate. Here is a total overview of the mechanism:
The final version is not very simular to the first one. Only the idea survived the building. The actuation will now be done by a striped servo (only motor and gear. no electronic):
The movement won't be done by the drive beld of the first version. Instead of this i use a normal wire which I can make as long as I need it so the size of the drive beld doesn't limit the movement
I will call the movement of moving the cover-plate apart x-movement. Also there is a y-movement which is necessary to detach the plate bevor the x-movement starts. How I realised it you will se on the next pics:
On the pics above you can also see the position switches. They can be place anywhere on the white angle for a better adjusting:
The threaded bars can also be adjusted like I need it.
The complete mechanism will be placed above the mainboard. But there has actually the powersupply his place. I had to remove metal where the supply lies on to get a flat level. I hope you understand what I mean :D :
So I have to find a new place for my supply:
Also I cut a hole as large as possible to get an idea of the dimensions for the window.
Additionally I replaced the motor/gear by an other striped servo:
That's it for today.
its going great and i was thiking something here since you are going to protect your system have you think about waterproof it would be great
Okay. An other update: The cover made some progress:
The other side is still in build.
Between the plates you can see an opening. This is the "Exit" for the mechanism to move the winow covering plate:
It will be closed with these brushes you can mount at doors:
This is my temporary controll for the covering plate:
And thats my workshop:
The first plates are equipped with LEDs. Unfortunaly I'm out of stock:
The next week I will creat the electrical parts. Next friday I have to register to the german masters!! And my mod is not as much completed as I wish.
mfg
Sweet, that looks really awesome with the LED's. How are they mounted?
There is a layer of 4mm plexi-glass between the upper plates and the mainplate. In this plexi I drilled some 3mm holes and fixed the LEDs with some glue.
That is awesome, one hell of a creative device you made there. I'm dying to see it work.
