lol yea get a dremel they are great but buy a dimond tipped cutting blade like 40 bucks
im gunna buy one soon
just a saftey thing cuz they dont snap or wear down....
im gunna buy on soon glad you like :)
I should get one, then. Who sells them?
um.... im in australia... lol seers? lowes? idk i went over there but idk didnt got into a hardware shop mum wouldnt let me :(
The diamond bladed will still snap if you bend them while cutting, it happens. Getting the re-enforced cutting disks like proper angle grinder disks are a far better option IMO.
Thats true an those diamond discs are way more dangerous when they scatter because they create very sharp pieces which get stuck in your skin easily.
Working with them safety glasses are a must.
Nice project so far, can't wait to see everything come together.
Yes safety glasses are a must. I always wear them because I like to get my face right up close to what I am cutting so I can properly.
Pressed too hard on the dremel at times and the disc broke... good thing I still have my nipples.
You cut in the nood do you Acey? LOL
rofl everyone make jokes in my thread!! lol oh i didnt know that about the blades... thought they were 'bulle proof'

Good stuff. I have to make an order soon, got lots of random stuff to pick up for LEXA.
Those little $1 and $2 things really add up.
Yeah they sure do.

wires and grills and stuff

no wires and stuff to dark....
modding soon
i bought...(myself)
2 80mm led fans cuz they are only 5 bucks
2 thin 80mm fans
ram cooler
screws and cables..
ttyl till then....
A lot of kit you got yourself there mate.
sigh.... the ram cooler didnt fit because of the heatsink and the mb power cable so more moddinbg for that soonish but it currently ocupies 2 of my 5.25 bays... lol
on holidays !!! ill mod soon updates may be slow tttyl
damn thats a lot.. :( my bulk order never arrived from the US and that forummer's under a "suspected scammer" tag... wait till i travel north and give him a piece of my mind + boot + assorted modding tools
rofl so you lost all your stuff?? thats gay
this is only interstate so im ok
yeah. all gone.. including those slim fans and short ccfls that i intended to use for paperazzi
Mate been there done that. When I ordered my mobo for LEXA they said they sent my order and then 2 months later said they were out of stock and wouldn't refund my money without paying a re-stocking fee on an order they never sent. Out of the $450AUD (including postage) that my order cost I only got about $250 back.
:O /cry thats like a years allowance for me lol that would suck
Sure did. I called up consumer affairs and they have put a warning out to the company and flagged them on their list of shame.
lol nice
hope that wasnt pccg they have been the best for me...
anyway ttyl
Na not PCCG, S&L Tech.
ok ok huge update
spend all day uploading photos
(hope they work)
first were i left you
this is where i ended up putting my ram cooler seeing as it didnt fit
ment to fit here
put both my heatsink and mb cable hit it so im fked atm
so i went to they shop and bought this...
spary primer
cable ties
cable tie mounts
2 sided tape
and nuts and blots
then i pulled apart my current computer and made a mess
then dad and i made this section took ages....
first we cut it from here
then bent it at a 90 degree angle and then cut out the spot and filed it
ended up with this
then i poprivited it and sprayed the primer (no pics)
here is a preview of what the case will look like once it is completed
if you look closely you can see how i joined the mb to the plexi tray then to the I/O pannel thingo (no close pics ill take them later)
next i primer and painted the HDD and cdrom cage things with some black i had left over
turned out pretty sweet
then i but the velcro and 2 sided tape on them
also primed the switch plate
next i decided to cut a hole in the back of the case for the 120mm fan that i plan to mount there
drilled the outline
with my
"prison shank" style hacksaw i started to cut
then filed it roughly
NEXT i decided to change the fan on the top to an output fan not an intake so i thought why not replace the fan altogether
one of the cheap 80mm led fans i bought
with the edges cut so it fits
test it still works
test it fits
then wire a molex on to it
THEN
does everyone remember the back HDD hider idea
anyway
the lay out
(rotate 90 degrees and then add to moditor looking away from it)
so i drilled the holes and daaa - daaaa
(cut bolts to)
not fully mounted yet but close
so i cut the holes in it for the cord for the mb cables and all the rest
(only rough)
more pics of the mb tray in place
thats 1 week of modding like non stop hope you like comments welcome
till then ttyl
EDIT: look at the clearance on my 8800gt lol like 2 mm :)
Wow, that's tight. Nice work! Where's the PSU going?
its going on the top at the back but the bracket i made for it was to small so i gotta make a new one
I miss my power drill :( Btw wicked RAM cooler. N the fan tho its a cheap fan but purplish glow makes me wants a couple for my mod :D
Gonna attach any LCD to the front of the monitor?
yeah they are ok fans i guess i used it more for lighting lol
no im not putting an lcd screen on the front
my pc i currently on the mb tray from moditor sitting on my desk hotter than ever which i weird
ttyl
