Re: What Can thermaltake Do For You?
I do have a suggestion that would make for a cool modding part. The connector that powers the side panel fan in the Level 10 GT and allows for the easy removal of the side panel, would be awesome to have available in a stand alone kit. When that case came out I searched endlessly to see if it was available for sale on its own but alas.

:stupid: That would be awesome, and simple to implement!

yup that thing is way cooler then a chassis intrusion switch

Re: What Can thermaltake Do For You?
Let me see what I can do, im not 100% sure on if we have those available separate but if possible I will :)

It'd be a neat product considering the majority of chassis out there from business to gaming computers all have chassis intrusion switches or the spot to install one.
and just about all of them have that switch disconnected cause its a pain in the a@# so it might as well be a contact plate for a fan or light LOL.

Re: What Can thermaltake Do For You?
x88x reminded me that im buying a bach case from him, where(if possible) could i get the case panel for it?

Re: What Can thermaltake Do For You?
I seriously think you should look into the portable audio department.
I've seen some portable speakers that are wimpy, and others that pack serious kick.
Come to think of it, my portable speaker system has a 6V input. Perhaps I might be able to get away with a USB-barrel plug adapter?

Any update on the F@H contest prize?

Re: What Can thermaltake Do For You?
What can thermaltake do for me?
Design a nice small case than can hold up to 6 internal 3.5" HDDs, at least 1 5 1/4" spot for a Blu-ray Combo Drive (3 would be nice, but wouldn't be that useful for certain applications) and can hold a mATX motherboard. ;D

Dual mITX rackmount case?

Re: What Can thermaltake Do For You?
A single desktop computer.
The size of a MALL.
That's how mall we're talking here!
Ignore crenn; he's the community troll nitpicker.

Received my Shock Head set a couple months ago (I think I posted when I got it in this thread somewhere). Very nice unit.

Don't ignore me because I can't work out how that one slipped. And I'm not a troll at all, as for being a nitpicker, no arguments there.

I wonder if that means the mouse got lost in the mail then.

Re: What Can thermaltake Do For You?
You guys should seriously talk to Micron.
I love their cases.
And with MPC being history, I wonder who owns the rights to the case designs?

Not ignoring you at all honestly :) but I will say I do sometimes get to a frenzy of typing especially with multiple messengers email, skype etc, and sometimes spelling mistakes do happen.... I mean im not a bot.... yet..... *looks over shoulder* dont want them to get the idea they could replace me after all just because of spelling O.o

That's fine, I'm assuming you meant how tall? If so, how does 30 cm sound? ;D

Actually that was more directed at AmEv since he's the one who said it. Trust me, we don't like bots, so we're very glad you're not one!

Re: What Can thermaltake Do For You?
I forgive both of you.
But I am with crenn at not enjoying spammers.
What we do with them, however............... . . . .

Actually what I was trying to ask is how SMALL are we talking because you seem to wanna cram alot of stuff in it and can be done but how small of a chassis (dimensions) were you looking for?

Oh.... I SEE NOW!
Not actually sure on the size XD; I doubt a design would be ready before I'm ready to build a file server (I have a separate thread on that, sadly chosen case isn't thermaltake, couldn't find a case small enough for my liking).
But yeah, smaller is better, but not sure how practical it can be especially given the cables needed to get it working.

yeah I kinda agree as fitting what you listed requires a bit of space and sufficient airflow requires more airspace... it all adds up :)
-
Re: What Can thermaltake Do For You?
Well, HDDs only need a small amount of airflow to keep cool I've found, although it also depends on what you define as an acceptable HDD temp, I prefer to keep HDDs below 45c and will actually turn off my computer if it gets much above that temp.
The system I'm planning is low powered and therefore low heat as well, so while airspace is definitely needed, it doesn't have to be too much. If things are set up right, all of the components can be cooled by the PSU fan and a single 120mm case fan.

I could definitely agree with that. I was more mentioning the need for a nominal amount of air space near the CPU and vrm components for adequate cooling.

Seriously, with a little revisioning, this'd be really schweet.
Oh, and it no longer looks that bad.

As I said, low powered reduces the amount needed for cooling ;D There needs to be some, no doubt, but not as much I'd think.

Re: What Can thermaltake Do For You?
were enthusiasts, low power doesn't exist to us :D

Re: What Can thermaltake Do For You?
Hehe, I'm an enthusiast who has to watch his power usage and develop electronic hardware/software to go on RC aircraft, low power exists to me! ;P
