Re: Project: unit 4
yooooo, got a brand new water cooling pump, eheim, german quality :D :D
unfortunatly the pump is way bigger than the old one, so ill have to expand the pump housing
   looks kinda weird
res 1 got a rustpainting today :)
thats all more to come 8)
-
Re: Project: unit 4
LOL! That pump with the tubes and fittings really looks weird!
But Eheim rocks.
-
Re: Project: unit 4
maybe ill add a window there so everyone can see that mess :D
nah maybe not :D but i hope that i can get to the hw store for some MDF for the top... i hope my construction works :D
-
Re: Project: unit 4
That pump looks so industrial. Fits perfectly with the mod.

Re: Project: unit 4
:) update :D
finally got my hands on mdf so i started work with it
bout an hour later, lots if routing sanding and blablabla later i got this
just how i wanted
heres my sec res with wc connector
3 holes, the outer for the UV LED's and the middle for the straw
bingo!
marked the spot for the hinges
some angle grinding later
top cover, needs some modding aswell
but the pump tower is almost finished
makro shot :)
thats all 4 today :)
-
Re: Project: unit 4
Now that it ill enclosed and constructed I can really see where your going eith this mod. It looks excellent.
-
Re: Project: unit 4
Yeah, gets clearer! Go, go, go. I want to see how you mod the explosion hole...
How's the work with MDF? Like wood or like plastic? Harder? Softer?
-
Re: Project: unit 4
well more like wood i would say + it doesnt crack and the dust is very fine so wear a cap, good to sand, but strong surface, its like pressed paper, like to work with it, and the best thing is, its cheap, 40x60 cm cost ~2 €uro pressboard is no comp to that stuff
-
Re: Project: unit 4
daily update w00t
top cover is final sanded and smooth :D
intake connector for the res
drawed on the backpanel for the rad and the PSU
some holes...
some cutting
after some filing and sanding the ras fits in nicely and holds without screws :D

and this is where the psu goes in
thats all 4 today, tomorow more of this :D
