That is INSANE!!! Excellent work +rep.
Verry nice rig man! Accurate work and the colours are great! +rep from me, too.
I love your case, the monitor is nice but not my favour.
Doesn't the Peltier warm up your Watercooling to much?
The monitor looks great.
I was wondering  if you thought about hollowing out the holder and running the cords through it and have it come out the bottom of the base stand. That way the cords would be out of site.
Lets have a update :D
Update 34 – The last details @ Monday the 23rd of July 2007.
Intro
Well, NLM is getting close to finished. Actually I had everything connected today. But while I was installing my OS the harddrive crashed, I checked it, and sadly there was a lot of errors. Bet you guys were right, a harddrive WON’T work after it has been opened. So guys, DON’T do it. I’ll use another 160gb Seagate IDE disk I have laying around. This time I won’t mod it with a window :hehe:
But here I’ll bring you some of the stuff I’ve done today and yesterday.
The funny part
First thing I had to do was to fix that ugly back.
Woila, you won’t see the radiator from now of ;)
Then I did some wiring which’s going to power up the harddrive.
This is how I want it ;) That’s good.
Next step – painting the backside of the sidepannel. It looks good now.
Painting the I/O panel, and the PCI-bracked for the GFX.
Here I want to show you the glowwire, which I received from http://www.vibelights.com/ The first time I connected the glowwire, the inverter just blew off, I mailed vibelights and they send me a new. It’s working just fine now ;)
This is the inverter, it’s not huge, and it’s easy to hide in the case.
Then I milled out a slice in the plexi in the back. Then I putted in the glowwire, and it should look just great ;)
- You see this? Omg, not beautiful. Lets do something about it!
After some drawing, cutting, bending, fileing, drilling and painting I got this.
Just nice!
I do only need to get the new harddrive installed and then collect the monster! Which mean that it should be finished tomorrow or Wednesday!
I do really like it, final pictures with all the details etc. etc. will arrive soon ;)
3 words: I love it
The inside looks amazing now. Very clean. Your attention to detail is at the highest level.+REP
this thing is just amazing , dang that i cant explain how good this thing is in english , but go with this +reepppppppssssssssssss from me :D
Hot damn that's mighty fine work! Sorry to hear about the hard drive though. I wish it could have worked out for you. But either way, I'm sure it will look amazing without a windowed hard drive. +rep from me.
Wow it looks great ! nice idea for the mesh since it wont block airflow and it looks so good. + rep
That is some really nice work there, especially inside the case.
I like the look of the monitor, but my only concern would be heat build up. It doesn't look like you put any vent holes in it at all. If you put your hand behind a normal monitor after it's been on for a while you do feel the heat coming off it. Perhaps some small slots in the back panel would help the heat escape and prolong monitor life.
This mod just keeps blowing me away, the attention to detail is just awesome. Excellent Mod +REP+
Looks so clean and beuatiful! Fantastic idea with the mesh inside the case, it looks so so so much sexier like that, especially with the holes you cut in the mesh for the watercooling blocks. NICE WORK!
Just one thing, does NLM stand for anything, or mean something? Just wondering....
Good work, it looks great. I'm gonna use mesh the same way in my mod but i'm only using it on the drive bays.
slytherock @ Thank you ;)
Spacehonkey @ Thank you dude. I've been studying if it was possible to make the cables go threw the holder and end op behind the foot. But I wont be able to do it, sadly :(
FrooP @ :D Thank you! I know the feeling hehe
calumc @ I'll take that as a compliment :D thanks.
.Maleficus. @ Thank you. heh yeah, but people had warned me, I should just have listened.
Computer-Geek @ Thank you, yep that was one of the good things about making the cover in mesh, it ain't blocking the airflow ;)
Bucko @ Thanks! I think you're right, but remember that the frame is done in aluminium, which is very good at heat transferring. The monitor ain't going to run 24/7 though, so I hope it won't be a problem, else I have to follow you advise and make some air hole :)
Sting @ Thank you dude :D I'm happy you like it.
eaglepies @ Heh yeah! the mesh was a nice thing to add. And off cause I did holes for the blocks, I wouldn't dream about hiding those nice blocks behind the mesh. Especially the cpu block is awesome, and I want to able to see it any time ;)
.Maleficus. @ I don't think it's the brand of paint which does the job. I've been using 3 different bands of gloss black, and the result has been the same with them all. What I did was to make those straight lines with a 120 grit sand paper. Then I clean the panels for dust, and just add a thick layer of paint. It's easy and it has worked out on ALL of my panels :)
The boy 4rm oz @ Thank you :) You're welcome to use the idea. Just like I've used others ideas somewhere in this case. The best thing about showing off your mods, is to see your ideas getting used again (off cause a little modified :) )
Great Excellent Fantastic Awesome work jegerjon. This mod turned out absolutely fantastic. I can't wait to see the final pics and see some temperature stats from your waterblocks. I must say, I went through about 3 pairs of underwear... this rig is HOT!!
+REP
nice mod:D... been thinking about making a refrigirator from one of the little blocks you have there as well since i was showened one at school xD and beacuse i think it would kick ass only connected to a thermaltake tmg2 dual 120mm radiator:D could cool down more than one can:P
like the mod, the coulors and basicly all thats in it,
but wouldnt the waterblocks work better if you made them of cobber (kobber?), and then made som erm... yeah...
http://www.legitreviews.com/images/r...ngmentZone.JPG
flow rills could you call it:P.. should boost your effeciency on the blocks a bit.
cant waite to se som temps from the refrigirator:D
oh and by the way, i saw that you said "and some water" etc in the post where you leak tested.
you probertly already know this but you have to use a special kind if liquid:) otherwhise your mod gets f**ked:P
Congratulations on becoming a featured worklog!
We all agreed among the Mod/Admin team your work was worthy. Keep it up!
yeah... but then you would have to put anti alge and stuff in it... otherwise the fittings will rust and etc:P trust me ive tried it xD the blocks and tubes get nasty after a month ore so heh... but what the hell.. that was only a school projekt not my own rig :D
gratzs on the feature...i knew this would be one i love the look of all this
AJ@PR @ Thank you :D
Remy @ LOL - I know what you mean about the underwear, but if you'd say that in Danish, it would come out kinda wrong :D
Thank you though, I'll give you all the states I'll be able to :)
P0Pe @ Thank you.
Heh, yeah! - Just go for it :D Off cause the blocks would preform a little more with those rills, but you know what a big job it's? Even though you have a mill, hehe. I only did it on the CPU block because it would be to time consuming to do on all the blocks. I were joining a Danish modding competition, and it has to be looking acceptable in a short time.. Soo that's basicly why I didn't do it.
The cobber wouldn't preform a lot more, but it would give a little bit. Nothing I need in this mod, but in future mods I'll give the cobber a try ;)
What I said about the water was, that in the leak test I pulled the tubing a little out off space, and because of that some water can out. All the blocks are now tested with air, with 4 bars, and they don't leak :P
I'm using distil water. It's not to expensive, and it's working good!
Bucko @ Oh dude! I'm honoured! Thank you, it means a lot to me :O Thank you.
b4i7 @ Thank you dude, You've been following me in thick and thin ;) I would wish that I'd started the log from the beginning on this wonderfully forum!
btw. ROFL ROFL, just read you signature!! That's funny! haha.
About the mod it self: I've been working and working on making the harddrive stuff work. It seems like there's some weird complication between my IDE seagate harddisk, and this motherboard. I don't want to explain it, but short: all my others harddrives work except that. But I can't just use my others, because they are already in use. (omg) so I've just orderer a new very cheap sata harddrive. It'll arrive tomorrow, can't wait :D
as long as you remember to put anti rust thing in it to:P... and what about some coulor? orange coulored water:P... (en god gang frugtfarve sku klare tricket:P)
a tiny thing i wouldnt be able to live with with this mod is only having 1 harddrive:D... im making a mod myself and so far there is spaced for 4:P.. cooled by 2 H2O hdd blocks, think it will be cool:P...
and if you absolutely want a harddrive with a window in it i think western digital have made one ?... its black as far as i remember so it would fit greatly into the mod:D
Congrats bro, you're doing a hell of a job on this bad boy!
p0Pe @ Ahh en dansker :D
Well, the colour doesn't matter. My tubing is black, and I won't even see it.
Thank you jdbnsn
Back to NLM: I've been measuring around with the hardware, and I've been working on getting vista installed. Finally I got it working, but only when my GFX is disconnected (Ati X600) And that's some CRAP! I have no idea why, and I've tried a lot of thing. I don't want to spend any more money on it, so I'm going to use the on-board GFX (x200) that sux, but it's my only way to go right now.
Tomorrow I'll collect everything, but final pictures need to be very shiny and perfect, so they'll first be ready at the weekend.
Until then, be happy :D
cant wait to see it jeger...i really like the work youve done
the excact thing happened to me about the glow wire the inverter blew at a case mod contest i was at and i bought the product 3 minutes before that it was terrifying
this is one of my favorite mods on here so its exciting and sad at the same time to see it finally come to completion
b4i7 @ thank you dude :)
armadilloben @ Weird. Bet we've been unlucky, cause the inverter I received does just work fine.
ASCStinger @ I've got the same feelings, it's sad that I can't build on it any more, but at the same time it's a awesome feeling to know that I did finish it.
yeah:D.. it did coe out nicely!!!
only one thing to do since you cant work on it anymore:).. start up a new one xD
and why would you even consider installing vista? why not just go for XP pro :D it would certanly solve your gfx problem heh...
but congrats with the finished result; one of the best looking in here:)
waiting to se your next mod;P
HELVEDES FINT ARBEJDE MESTER!:P
Duude, it's not quite finished yet. Still need to give you guys the last pictures ;)
About another mod - ehe I'm going at continuation school, so you'll have to wait a hole year. BUT I promise it'll be something NEW and revolutionize when I return.
Den giver sku de fleste på tweakup baghjul :smoker:
well:P.. maybe you will find someone with the same interests there;P
otherwise you always have the weekends;P
MY BABY IS FINISHED!!! SHE'S DONE!!
Guys, thank you for supporting me, thank you for helping me throug this project!
I'm in totally love with the result, and that's good, cause I have no time in the future for this case, I have to move on, and the next whole year, I'll bee off with the modding and go at continuation school, but don't forget me, I'll be back ;)
Let's have the final pixtures for this project
congrats on getting it finished! it looks fantastic! +rep
