I found that "Strange Door". How do I get in?

The "Strange Door" is actually an entire island; it's the entrance to the Shivering Isles. If you don't have that expansion pack, the 'door' you found is just a nearby (south of there) trapdoor exit from a quest I've long since forgotten. Pretty sure there's a giant slaughterfish and some steel armour on the other side.

I just looked it up and it goes here, as part of this Thieves Guild quest.

Yup, there's a giant slaughterfish in there :D Stupid thing was pretty tough to kill too. If you kill it right under the hole into the lower cave it'll float up through the upper cave and you can see it's size in relation to you...thing if freakin HUGE. Assuming the a dark elf is about 5'6", the giant slaughterfish would be about 15' long, iirc.

noticed newegg has the collectors edition for 10 bucks. might just have to pick this game up! :D

I got the Game of the year edition from Walmart. It's supposed to have the original and two expansions. There must be a mission where it becomes available for me to enter.

I was in the fighters guild and meant to click the spacebar and instead clicked my mouse and slashed another member. Then they all attacked me and I killed one of them. Now I have to find someone before I can get back in.

lol. That's where the auto-save when you enter the building becomes quite useful :P

On the plus side, next time you sleep you'll get a...friendly visitor.. :twisted:

I have the same edition TGS. You have shivering isles. Just talk to the guard and enter like you would any door / gate. Shivering isles is pretty fun. The cool visitor you will get when you sleep opens up some of the most fun quest on the game IMO.

That was awhile ago and and I later got a visitor who gave me a note to meet the Gray Fox in some garden by the waterfront, but there are no gardens over there??

I just had a great mission where I went to find a necklace for a princess and fought ogres and skeletons. When it was over, I spoke with a ghost general and he gave me access to the room where it was hidden

hmmm, somebody actually got a Thieves Guild invite the other way? Wow! But no, I was talking about the other visitor. You know, the one in the long black robe? That came the first time you slept after killing someone you weren't supposed to?

Oh, he came to the arena and talked to me.

I killed him too.
