I was noticing by your sketchup that you're using mesh, or some type of it, to mount the HDDs. Will that hold them all? What exactly are you going to use? I used 6mm plexi to do mine, and I'm glad I went with it. The 5mm I tried with only 8 HDD started warping from teh weight before I mounted it. But the 6mm didn't. Altho yes, not top and bottom support might cause that, BUT, I prefer safety for my crapton of storage.
Well... the "mesh" you are referring to is actually 3mm perforated steel, not alu, so its more then sturdy enough to hold the disks without moving, its troublesome enough to bend by hand, so doubt a straight downforce would do anything to this one =)

I'd like something like that, although, If I ever did do anything like it, it would never look as good. I have to say, that looks sweet; if only my $75 case looked that nice...
