It wasn't me, but I did think about it. We try to keep this place fairly family friendly. I sign my rep.
Alright, it was just a joke. Let's all calm down and stay on topic eh?
I just picked up flight sim x gold edition, havent started it yet though. also play sim city 4, GTA-SA on PS2 (good time-killer), got supreme commander from the guy I got my video cards from , havent tried that yet either. I play armadillo run a lot (another good time killer)
I'm partial to this tutorial, which reveals the prerequisites and how-to of this "hidden feature".
Keep in mind that sudden transitions from one shade to another can lead to some bizarre results.
Sweet, thanks. +rep
No problem! I've borrowed this guy's Central Virginia terrain; rolling hills and a steeply-sloped river are keeping things interesting. He's correct in suggesting MicroDEM if you're looking at a certain area rather than drawing your own terrain.
I LOVE Flight Sim X! I have not yet made it through all of the missions but I have done most of them. I had the privilege of playing the previous Microsoft Flight Sim on Crimson Sky's Project Nighthawk with a triple monitor arrangement out at the Maker's Faire in San Mateo last year and that was the coolest flight sim experience I've had. If you have the cash and are really into realistic flight sims, triple display is the way to go for sure.
Plus, our host Microsoft sent their team out the CA for the event. Meet the two hottest tech chicks alive...
Not to get too far off topic, but any of you Sim City 4 fans out there, what are your thoughts on Cities XL by Monte Cristo? Looks to me that it'll be a proper successor to SC4 (even thought it is not by Maxis or EA).
