Mounting the Rad/Pump
Finally got the rad mounted. There was a bit of drama though in the process. I measured 3 times and drilled once.... but I didn't measure with the mobo in. The Thermal Armor comes up quite a bit so it didn't fit at first. Once I moved the rad over about 1" I was able to get it all to fit.
First holes I drilled. I also drilled out the 120mm fan holes because they were recessed and the rad wouldn't go flush with the top of the case.
Looked good mounted
So since that went baddly here is what it looked like after I moved it.
Few extra holes but thats what the plasic cover is for.
Really tight fit. There is probably a few mm between the mobo and the fan to the rad.
The rad really makes this case feel tiny... even though its a monster.
Since that went well, I decided to mount the pump. Was alot easier than the rad.
Maybe I'll get the rest of the WC parts and some more sleeving.
Cheers till then.

Drain port options
Need your opinion on how to install my drain port. Here are the options:
1
1a
2
2a
I'm trying to figure out which way will have the least effect on the flow and not kink the tubing too much. Hence the 90 degree fitting in the "a" variations. Thoughts?

Re: Project: Rage
my vote would be for 1a or 1, but it would depend on where that tube going into the "T" is coming from. If you can do 1 without a kink in the tubing do it as it'll be least restrictive

Even more stuff!
I got some of the last parts needed. I still have a few small orders out there.
Looks so promising :D
20ft Red Primochill tubing
2m White NZXT LED Lighting
XPSC Rasa CPU Block
Ball Valve for my drain port
Phobya Temp Probe (this will go on the outlet of the rad)
Windows 7 Pro Upgrade 32-Bit. Still waiting for the 64-Bit DVD to get here.
Lets get started!
Opening up the CPU block. It has fitting for 3 different CPU Sockets.
I plan on painting some of it if my paint ever gets here.
I was originally going to put the temp probe in a prefabricated 5.25" bay cover.....
but that would be too easy... lets put it in one of the stock bay covers.
Measured
Rough cut
Cut the bracket so the display fits and filed the grill down to a nice edge
Looks good :D
I'll put foam in it so you cant see behind the grill... I think.
Now to make sure my WC stuff works.
All installed
No leaks!!!!
And I emptied it out until I was ready to install it for good.
Tonight I have been installing the parts into the case. The case is done but there are just outside ascetics things to do. Installed the lights and most of the fans. Still need the sleeving to get here... hopefully tomorrow then I will be totally done inside. Only a week or 2 left and this mod is done! Then we start the next...
Cheers till then.

Update
I finally got around to drilling new mounting holes into the casing of the BluRay drive. Wasn't too challenging. I should have the foam the next few days and then it will be all done!
Here is a quick shot of how all the cables look so far going into the Fan Controller.... Not sure I'm a fan because I had to do some moving and I don't like them where they are now.... might have to do some more cutting.
So with all the lighting installed here is what she looks like.
Here is what the cable management looks like so far.
Got a new tool in! An Electronic Digital Caliper! Its more for my next mod but still a good tool to have around.
Remember those shelves I talked about? Well here they are. (Yes the top one is cooked.... wife didn't hold it straight with the level.
Mounted the plastic drawers up there to get the maximum use out of the wall. I think I'll buy another one because it is such an awesome storage option.
Pulled out the new speakers for a test run. They are pretty awesome.
That's it for now. Still only missing a few things to get this mod finished up and still waiting on more drain port opinions.
Cheers till later.
