I took the time out of playing BFBC2 online to beat the single player - Now back to multiplayer :)
Was bored and have been pretty sick so have been procrastinating other things a bit. ;)
Blasphemy I know, but I have yet to make it more than 20 minutes into STALKER: SOC (and I haven't played the others). Decided to give it a whole-hearted go this time. Installed Stalker Complete 2009 and went for it.
Man, is it sweet. Not sure why I didn't get into it before. I forgot that it was meant to be a bit creepy, and not just artifact scavenger hunting, so when the first cloaked mutant attacked me out of nowhere I screamed at the top of my lungs, LMFAO. The fiance thought I was dying or something.
I let myself get into games, and that definitely helps on this one. I could mindlessly power through it without a second thought, but letting myself get caught up in the atmosphere really makes this a great experience. Wow.
I've finally Mastered every skill in Oblivion without cheating. It took several months and dozens of quest mods to do it too.
Just Cause 2, Its a definite time killer.
Beat the main story in Pokemon Heart Gold just yesterday. Going the other way I still need to finish my latest play through of Dead Space.
Recently I have complete X men wolverine origin game...Now I am playing Dragon age game....
New Left 4 Dead 2 DLC is pretty fun. I never seem to get away from L4D2 or TF2.
I just beat Assassins Creed 2. I got it free with my CPU so I gave it a try. And well all i can say is :O. This game was incredible, and left me wanting more after game was over. I can't wait for the 3rd one thats for sure.
Games I am playing right now are: Battlefield Bad Company 2 (*TsMgcc.com* Hardcore) <-- thats our server come play with us :P. Another game is Bioshock 1 (will get Bioshock 2), CS:S, and TF2. If you have steam add me to friends: SteamID: deadly_ninja
Playing Starcraft 2 beta...
pretty slick so far.
Torchlight and just picked up my new copy of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition. When patches finish I'll finally get to play it.
I still play Gauntlet whenever I just feel the need to kill things. I've recently started playing Guild Wars.
Playing through the Single Player on COD:MW2 on Veteran finally. played it through on normal just to get the feel for the game for multiplayer. havent revisited it since until now.
I just beat Portal, well the standard levels anyways. AWESOME game! trying to do the advanced but they're tricky lol. I'm going to eventually go back through the regular version and go for some achievements
If you enjoyed Portal, check out Portal: Prelude. It's an unofficial prequal to Portal, but very well done (and free!). For an idea of the difficulty of the challenges, think of the harder challenges in Portal..that's about the level of the easier challenges in Prelude.
Finished:
Batman Arkham Asylum. Pretty easy game, even on hard. Had fun playing it though.
Portal. Total of about 6 hours to finish the game on the first levels plus a few of the challenges. Not a bad game, I can see spending lots of time getting all the challenges and such.
I just beat portal as well. Now I'm trying to knock down all the surveillance cameras...
lol I'm workin on that too
beat fallout 3 again
i just beat crysis , metro 2033 and portal again, and gta iv for the first time. (bout time).
You also need to check this out.

It's more or less the Portal: Still Alive map pack that's on 360, but free! So it's almost official and really really good.
In the middle of playing the original Mass Effect game on PC. And looooving it. Graphics look a bit dated to me, but the storyline is fantastic, and there's a lot of depth to the game that I'm enjoying. One of the main effects it's having is that I can't wait to play the next one...and recently found out there's supposed to be a third one sometime, plus a bunch of downloadable stuff for each one...
Also having fun playing Grid, although i need something other than the keyboard. Thinking about getting a wheel when I can afford it, I'm not big on gamepads, and a wheel would be fun...
Games I've bought but have yet to start (got most of these on Steam during their holiday sale):
Portal, Bioshock, Stalker Chernobyl, Dirt, Dirt 2, and a whole bunch of others I'm forgetting at the moment...
lol
I forgot about those...
I got my "fall 30000' " achievement yesterday while sitting home sick. Setup a couple of portals, jumped and walked away for 15 minutes.
I also got my Cupcake award for beating 2 of the advanced maps.
I also beat Wanted on Monday. Fun game! The whole church map I entirely forgot about curving bullets and kept getting wasted running up the steps. I didn't even remember until I had beaten the game.. DOH!
Still to finish:
Fallout 3 (keep getting bored...)
Mercenaries 2 (same thing, keep getting bored doing the same stuff)
Mirrors Edge (get frustrated on some of the jumps and I give up for a while)
Bioshock 2 (I keep forgetting to save and have to redo a bunch of stuff...)
I think I have a few others... Man i waste a lot of time gaming...
Just got Doom 64. I bought this game about ten years ago and it was a broken copy. So I can FINALLY play the game. One of the only Doom games I haven't played.
Anybody want me to record a playthrough of the game?
one strategy I loved using in the older Doom games was running into a room stuffed full of baddies, and trying to run between them such that they'd end up attacking each other. Go hide or keep running around, then pick off the survivors. Pretty effective technique usually. too bad newer games' AI's are better....*sigh....
Eh, "better" is debatable. I mean if you think about it how is a game with a bunch of dumb henchmen, or zombies able to never hit each other, or if they do hit each other how are they smart enough to know who hit them is on their side? I can understand some games not using the system, but some games would benefit from the classic Doom infighting system if you ask me. It can act as a very tricky way to promote ammo conservation in limited ammo type shooters, and add a new toy in the "shoot everything" games so you don't get bored.
Just my thoughts... But what do I know? I still prefer first-person games over third...
Incoming wall of text.
Recently started playing AC2 and finished last night. I enjoyed the first one, but the second one brought a lot more elements to the game.
The only real gripe I have about the game are the controls. I assume they are better optimized for a console controller. Little annoying to learn what key goes to each symbol but I got it down pretty fast. I found it most annoying when my char would just jump the wrong way or attempt to jump off a building and instead just fall and grasp the edge. Oh and the damn bars that you swing off of. I still dont know the proper way to swing off them. I usually ended up spamming space bar, then hold it until I got some kind of momentum...and eventually made the swing off. I dont think I have ever gotten so pissed at controls before.
/end rant about annoying controls
On the plus side, I really enjoyed "upgrading" my city and buying weapons/armor. The flying missions and horse carriage mission were probably my favorite. The biggest improvment of AC2 over AC1 was all the differnet ways to assassinate people. The smoke and posion knifes were a cool idea but I never used them.
Overall I really liked the game except for the controls with a keyboard/mouse.
Cliffs:
Finished AC2
Really hated the controls
Horse carriage and flying were my favorite missions
Enjoyed all the new ways to assassinate people
Found smoke and poison usless to me
I really enjoyed the beginning intro gameplay and story to AC1, but just stopped playing it once they dropped you out onto your own, where you have to ride your horse forever to some other place. The game just felt better to me when they gave you more guidance. Shame I couldn't stick with it as I got similar feelings during the story portions outside the memories as I did the first time I played HL2.
Just started ODST. Playing for the first time. Recording and uploading as I go. Although I can't make the videos public until Sunday. It is a surprise for my Fiancee. I turned her into a Halo nut not long ago...
Just finished the original Mass Effect. Sadly I don't have the $$ right now to fork over for the sequel...but wow what a game. tons of fun, and I'll be playing the downloadable mission tonight...
also makes me want to run out and get Dragon Age and its expansion...
@artoo: I don't recommend Dragon Age. The graphics are good but the combat is like a massively dumbed-down version of WoW. It's a waste of money in my opinion.
Mass Effect 2 is amazing. If you liked the first one that much then you'll really enjoy the second.
good to know, thanks - I haven't played WoW, but I'm not a fan of bad combat systems.
No problem. I watched my brother play a lot of it and he ended up running around in circles during boss fights so his health and special abilities could recharge lol. It was pretty disappointing.
I loved Mass Effect 2, though. That game is a LOT of fun.
actually I had to do some running around/hiding in mass effect to let my health and abilities recharge...and it didn't bother me too much. What I found more irritating was not being able to save my game in the middle of a fight or in elevators. In fact, it took me awhile to get through the end of the Rescue Liara mission because I hadn't leveled up very far, and by the time I found out I had to face a Krogan Battlemaster at the end of it, I didn't have the savegames to go back to before I started the mission.
There's a video sequence before the battle, and it doesn't let you save the game after it, just puts you into the fight, so I had to sit through that each time. Luckily I didn't encounter any other similar situation in the game, but it was really annoying. I can't figure out why they didn't do an autosave just before the battle started...but they didn't. Eh well. Still not totally sure how I did it, I know I just barely scraped by.
The fight with the battlemaster was a tough one. I think it takes everybody at least a few tries to get through that. As far as I know, ME2 doesn't have any situations like that in it.
Heck, even the final fight with Saren at the end of the game was easier than that #$@@$ Battlemaster LOL. took me fewer tries anyway. But then, I was also at like level 49 (is 50 the highest you can get? seems like it, I don't think I missed many opportunities for experience points)
Finally beat extreme difficulty.

Sandbox mode now activated! Woo!
Pro-Tip: Two Perfect Gems create a "Great Gem". It's twice as powerful as a perfect in every way. It's awesome, but hard as hell to get. Go for the three main towers instead. (The one's with the Normal Sapphire, Topaz and Diamond in the equation. They look like pointed bar's.)
Bought Supreme Commander 2 during a sale. I actually enjoyed the single player for some odd reason; I never play single player for RTS games so this was a first. Im not even really sure why I liked the game; I just did :)
Metro 2033 was on the the other day on Steam so I picked it up. Pretty awesome game with very nice graphics. Story was pretty nice, weapons looked awesome, and some cut scences were pretty cool. Reminded me of F.E.A.R. Only downside was the whole game only took me about 10 hrs to complete; but it was worth my $25
Currently I am playing a little Mirror's Edge but not too involved in the game. Hoping for Just Cause 2 sale on Steam soon.
When not playing single player games Im playing with friends. We recently started playing MW2 again after playing BFBC2 for awhile.
Man I love Steam.
Been busy, but have been spending what free time I do have playing MW2 with friends on 360. I fixed up a broken 360 and to my surprise it wasn't banned. We will see if it has been flagged, but for the last few weeks it's been working well.
I enjoy the game far more on 360 than pc. Haven't had to deal with cheats, but the game is still just as campy on 360 as it is on pc. People whine if you toob them, even if they have been camping the same room all game, and half their team is spamming toobs. Idk, I hate both communities, but it is more bearable on 360 for whatever reason. Maybe it's the file review / complaint thing, I don't know.
Ginormo Sword. Google it.
