Re: First mod: Green Light
That'll be a nice setup. If you are thinking about painting the metal inner cage I would go with automotive paint. They have some really nice greens to choose from. Although so do airbrush style paint companies.
Re: First mod: Green Light
There is a local hobby shop near my house. I'm gonna try to stop by hopefully this week or the week after cuz I'll be away for a few days. Thanks for the suggestion!
Re: First mod: Green Light
You could always solder on a remote switch somewhere. It would be cheaper than a remote start. You just relocate the power and reset switches to somewhere that better suits you. Or you could spring load one of the plexi pieces and have the green light be the on switch.
Re: First mod: Green Light
not sure what your asking me but looks good to me, i would frost the LED's and maybe even get a sheet of clear/red Plexi and frost that as well for a nice glow look to it.
nice hardware btw, haven't looked at this for a bit, good to see its coming along! +rep.

frost?
Re: First mod: Green Light
ya. get some 500 or so grit sand paper and sand the led, it will make the whole led glow rather than have a focused beam of light.
Re: First mod: Green Light
ohhhh ok. Should I use colored LED's with the colored plexi? or clear LED's?

hmm, i think the colour plexi will give a better look but if you can't get it then clear will do. as for clear leds with colour plexi i'm not sure which is better, if you have any coloured plexi try a clear led behind it and a colour (same colour) behind it as well.
