Re: Rods & Mods: Display your Case Mod at the Exploratorium
I just got an email from the exploratorium about some deals they have worked out with nearby hotels. Some of you may want to bunk up so I'll just quote it here since I don't think bots will get this fast enough for it to spread through the whole web.

Re: Rods & Mods: Display your Case Mod at the Exploratorium
NICE!
Thanks for posting that up.
BTW: for those of you attending I will PM my contact info. Depending on the number of people showing up I would like to plan a dinner or something. Once I know the headcount (and any dietary restrictions) I will set something up.
So, who will be there? (I will make a list in the first post of this thread).

Re: Rods & Mods: Display your Case Mod at the Exploratorium
LOL, you beat me to posting that info! :)
@ Airbozo - I'll be there too, and possibly my girlfriend (she'll definitely be there on Saturday, but she may not be able to come up to SF until late Friday night due to work). No dietary restrictions :)
Re: Rods & Mods: Display your Case Mod at the Exploratorium
Right! 4 for dinner so far (5 if I can talk the wife into heading up there). I will plan it for Saturday evening so we can have some fun!
Re: Rods & Mods: Display your Case Mod at the Exploratorium
I might possibly have 1-2 people more. Should plan on 2 for me actually, thanks for setting this up Airbozo :)
Re: Rods & Mods: Display your Case Mod at the Exploratorium
OK, Here is the deal;
I got a call from Marcus today and he was curious if anyone else is submitting any mods. They have 2 from TBCS so far and really want more. Big, small, it doesn't matter. Mice mods, xbox mods, whatever you have.
One specific thing that Marcus asked for was a "work in progress". Something that shows the hard word and time involved in the modding process, but that was not complete. Examples of sleeving, case construction, lighting, water cooling design, etc...
Come one TBCS! Let's show them what we do here!
If you are out of town and still want your mod shown I will work with you to get them to the show and setup properly and returned to you.
Re: Rods & Mods: Display your Case Mod at the Exploratorium
BTW:
Dinner count:
Airbozo +1 (I actually think I can get the wife to a geek show!)
Trace +2
artoodeeto +1
Anyone else?

I'm planning on bringing my screens with me, showing a continuous slideshow of the build history. All 3 versions. :)
Re: Rods & Mods: Display your Case Mod at the Exploratorium
I live in Felton, and head to San Francisco every year for V-day (the lovey one, not the WWII one). What day will the modders be there so I can accidently stumble into the event and check some of these mods out and maybe meet some of the cali locals.
