Installed new Motherboard.... now no internet!?

ya I'm beyond frustrated... should i install any others besides the "Auto installation program (support WinXP 64/Win98SE/WinME/Win2K/WinXP ver.663))(Submission ID: 1245904)"

Get yourself a copy of knoppix and see if it'll detect the NIC. If it does, then you know it's something buggy with Microsoft (Surprise!).

Download the .ISO here, and burn it as an bootable CD. If you've got third party burning software, make it a data disk. If you don't have a third party burning program, http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm is a 'powertool' for XP.

I tried downloading knoppix and it sent me to an ftp with v3-v5 and im not sure which one to download.

I'm guessing KNOPPIX_V5.1.1CD-2007-01-04-EN.iso

Nope, just the .ISO. Then, make sure you have boot from CD set in your BIOS. You should be all set. Make sure you burn it as a CD Image.

i forget but with iso's dont u have to mount the image to disk?

is this right?

is it possible to download ms updates without it automatically installing them? maybe i can burn them and install them if it turns out to be something wrong with ms

should i download the "WinXP 64 and WinXP Driver" as well?

I assumed the 1st one was the 2nd one, just installed it for you?

i was looking in the bios and it says "network group boot priority [not installed]

i dont think this has anything to do with it but maybe? im despret for a fix haha

Also, i dont see "boot from CD" anywhere in bios
