=p
Laptop HDs work at all angles.
I'm pretty sure that all new HDs will work at any angle as long as you don't jiggle them around a whole lot while in use.
already had this debate guys!
thyr fine.
ok ok ok.... ma bad
hehe cheers and soz GT40 :)
I just didnt want this thread to turn into a debate over the HDD's!
For better or worse thyr staying like that, its part of the mod i wanted.;)
Are you doing a raid setup defyant?
Can the mobo take that many sata drives or are you going to use a card?
No raid mate :) theres an extra SATA card as you can see in the pics :)Quote:

I know i already did cut these holes on a previous panel... but had had some "fryups" .... prolly caused by the previous owner painting all the panels with cheep enamel paint. So i decided rather than take a chance a new panel is cut and painted.
To get the lines streight a longblock is used.
The new side panel and front panel are given one last sprayputty and touchup.
Theres nothing really special about HP-SERVERS paint job! i just want a basic server black look... ive chosen to use midrange can paints all the way thru this mod.
These run in around 10 bux AU a can! so a paint job will still cost you around 70 bux ... with 2 cans of the black and 2 of the spray putty being used,
With all the panels now under putty.. and the front penal under primer.
The penels are all given a wetrub flat using 1000grit wet and dry.
To help with wet rubbing the panels are all given a "dust coat" of black.... this is called blackshadow.... the idea is this guide coat acts as your guide while wetrubbing,
While all the panels dry from the dust coat a qick ATX on/off switch hole is added to the fron panel.
Nothing special here! the less this button stands out...the better !
A small hole is drilled opposite the infra red hole.
