Great Work!
You, Sir, are a clever, clever man.
I applaud thee.
Drew
I'm sorry dude but this has been buggin me for a while now,... what does the HPRES stand for? LOL.
Helwert Packard Resivoir?
I think it's Ressurection, but now that you mention it, I think I've always just assumed that. heh.
Clarification from the originator of the term?
Rank's right guys!
HP Resurrection 3....HPRIII....HPRES III MEGA
the whole series went as follow,
The first HP was
HP Resurrection ... It was then rebuilt into HPRES Stealth'D
Then HP Resurrection II .. that was the purple one! HPR2 was orignally an air cooled pc. I then decided to ADD the Defyant Style Dual full lenght side tanks and some sexy water ..The PC became HP Resurrection II -Evolution. or HPR2-EVO... confused?
After that came HP Resurrection III HPR3 (this mod)..... as you all know this mod started life as Bondo guide for another forum.
The guide wich essentually was just the front panel was called.
Defyant's MEGA Blowhole and Bondo guide.... and indeed it was!
The mega came just from the enormous front dual blow hole but i decided to carry that one theme thru the whole mod.....
Mega plex....mega blow hole.... mega side tank! and mega paint :)
After HP3 MEGA came
HP4- Flame'D thats the silver case with the flamed side panel and Defyant style NO2 RES.
HP-SERVER is essentually HP5. ( the back one)
Watch out for HP-6 MAX !.... i havnt run outa ideas yet :)
oh god...i cant wait  this will have to be purely amazing to compete against your othersQuote:

To just leave them "unlit" after all this work just did'nt seem fitting for mods that taken almost a yr to do now!
The solution again was EL wire! i swear i must have brought 20 mtrs of this stuff by now! but this stuff is a "liter's dream"!
The method i'll use is a Needle and thread or shoe lace idea......
Basically the EL wire will loop from front to back in one continuos length.
the first of many holes are drilled.
Next is to drill the same holes thru the window as well!
The window is glued to the side panel and the RED and BLUE EL wire are passed thru.
These are then fed along the outer side of the panel and then back.
To keep the back of the panel tidy the inner feeds are covered with black techflex , heatshrinked and glued into place.
The end result are 4 outer runs of RED and BLUE lights :)
The Side blades will be channeled then glued into place over the EL wires!
A sneeky peek before all Blades are done for HP3's final shoot tomorrow.
sweet, like the effect. This is awsome cant wait to see the final product !
Fantastic use of EL Wire with those blades.
Gorgeous! simply gorgeous work mate.
TY guys :)
The final "fit up stages" are here!!!!!
The power supplies for the RED and BLUE side blade EL wires are secured just below the mini atx board! power is sourced from the base of the case and plugs are left to attach to the side panel.
A start can now be made on the plumbing!...
The previously pearl painted pump rad and rear fan can also be added to the cae.
bolt on the RAD and fan........ and it's Fill time!!!
Its a massive RES!!! but the good old MPC600 is up to the challenge!!
I'm not running any coloured coolant this time! i want to let HP3's unique light feature do its thing :)
The Res will be "topped up" :)
A bunch of final work bench shots, the pc will sit with the water running over night to check for leeeks! then tomorrow it's some final wire work... finish the side blades and a final shoot!!!!
Couldn't resist :P
Looks great man. Another good job.
Looks great! Just curious, was this built to replace one or add on? Anyway, fantastic as usual, looking forward to see the final glamour shots.. :)
Wow. Nothing less than a work of art. Truly beautiful. Good job as always.
awsome work, stunning job
Again thanx guys :)
just needed to fix up those unsightly RES barbs!
I hope this lil duct peice from a "Badong" cooling duct kit does the trick :)
Almost toooo simple :D
Some qick nite res shots!
Finally! the last of the side blades are grooved and glued onto the side panel.
The light from the EL works well! even under soem direct light the blades light well
And some nite shots :)
this will be on display for a month or 2 then it will get a hardware upgrade and become my main PC here @ home :)Quote:

amazing!
watched this for ages, a work of art mate.
that is slick, its..... no words
sniff sniff... its so beautiful! :p By the way, covering up the barbs was a good idea, I was hoping youd do something about that cause the blue clashed with the rest of the color scheme.
Excuse me while I clean my pants.
This is so amazing. In fact, i cannot even begin to think of the words needed to describe this... so i will make up a new one.
Defyantsatic!

I love the milky off white look! You going to hav to give me some pointers when it comes time for me to paint too;)
What kind of temps are you getting?
:O O.M.G is all about i can say right now

Imagine those front blades doing the back and forth knightrider thing! that would look so sweet :D
Cheers again guys!!
Yer!!this was actually mentioned over @ twisted forums by Angel in the very very early stages of the mod!!
The thing was, i didnt want the case to become too "modernised" i actually wanted it to look very very simple kinda classic... much like a modern day audio gear!
I did buy the Jaycar kit :P for 19 au.... and even changed the LED's for a better result.... but it just looked tooooo cylon :)
daaamn i just found a dark bit of defyant past.........
(not shure if you guys know)
