Me too.
Finally a real update.
So tonight I got a few minutes tonight to do some modding!!
Here's all the NESs and the case. I did some cutting on the case that can't be seen in the pics. A lot of the cutting was on the NES that covers the top and CDROM drive.
I cut a little to far to the front of the NES. Guess I got carried away. Maybe someday I'll replace the unit but for now I think it adds something to the build.
I need to do a little adjusting of the position of the NES to line the Drive tray up with the opening.
Hopefully I can get more time to work on this tomorrow. See you next update.
I have a few gutted NESes sitting in my room. If you want, I could send you one fairly cheap.
I might have to take you up on that after the holidays. I have 1 that hasn't been cut and the other 2 were cut with the other case so its taking a little but of new cutting to get everything to fit right where I want it and I'm afraid of cutting to much away and not getting the design I wanted.
I have some generic beige cases sitting in my closet. I might be able to get you one that is narrower than what you are using now.
Woo! So I was able to get a few more things done this afternoon before the baby woke up from her nap.
I was able to re cut the bottom networking hub NES.
And the middle NES cut and the LCD placed inside ready for mounting to the case frame.
Things still left to do, wire NES ports for USB and controller ends for adapters.
Wire up HDD, Power LEDs
Wire up Power switch and ROM Drive buttons.
Hopefully we're coming up on the end here and I can think of another mod.:D
Tomorrow, it will be two months since you last updated...
Do you still need any NES shells? I can send one (or more) to you, if necessary.
I'm still strapped for cash right now so I'm delayed still. I'm really hoping to get this going again soon. Thanks for the offer on the shells I'll probably hit you up when I have the cash again.
So I got a check in the mail the other day from having to got to court for Wendys. That gave me a little $$ to buy plexi to do some updates to 3xNES.
Here's the start of the plexi. This is going to wrap slightly around the sides and front. Hopefully will give the NES shells the illusion of being suspended and little.
I also sanded down the edge of the NES Router so it would fit more snug.
little side note. If you have eye protection always use it. I was trying to quickly make the cuts and didn't put on my goggles and almost took hot plexi right to the eye. Its all good though so hopefully the baby will take a long nap, she got 6 month shots today. Here's hoping for an update later.
