Well, since I'm averaging ~30k-35k, if your i7 is out of commission for more than, say, 2 days, I think I should catch you (only 22,028 behind you now).
we'll see... lol...i have a couple buffer machines running too
21,348 now.. :whistler:
69PPM(onth).....
im at 18990+2605+5xxx from my rig at home... im at roughly 26600 ppd?
Main rig averages ~20k-25k, second rig averages ~11k, third rig averages ~....I really don't know. I'm guessing ~200-300 (single core on my server...with a Celery E1500).
Well.... its been 24 hours, maybe i have a computer i forgot about, it doesn't look like you're catching me x88x... I just wish i could sell my alienware to get a partner for my 560... oh well... i would probably need a new PSU anyways to do that. Mine only has 1 6pin and 1 6+2 pind
Lol... my RA down the hall herd that my mobo died and started folding his gpu for me so i wouldn't fall behind. i love that guy.... He says we're even for me building his tower for him though.
Curses! :D ..now, just don't mention to him when your i7 is working again. ;)
Heheh, so, out of curiosity, I checked the rankings, and between us and 800, there are only 3 teams with more than 100k 24hr average! And you have to get to 340 before teams with more average ppd than us become commonplace at all (iirc, only 3 of those between us and the current 340).
Oh, and according to their current estimates, we should overtake the current 800 team in 1.5 months, and the current 1200 team in 2.6 weeks.
Note to self:
Do not fold and try making music at the same time.
Unless you like going deaf from loud-and-sudden, low frequencies.
w00tz! 1,997!!! We passed the 2,000 mark!
YAAAY... lol... so x88x, i think your starting to catch me... 10000 point spread now
Yeah, I think so. Though, I'm never certain if it's just that my systems finished a batch of WUs before yours and we're just playing leapfrog...idk, we'll see. :P How's the i7 replacement MBB coming?
tuesday... and god knows when itll actually be folding. im officially jumping from watercooling to air cooling... im trying to sell my loop, but i have to sell it before i can buy a decent air cooler for my i7... anyone wanna buy a water loop? lol...
what you got? I might want it to go with my new i3-2100 :D
So, when's someone going to send me the dualhead AGP video card I need for folding? lol jk
@ Oneslow28 I want something BIG. lol. i was looking at the prolimatech or the tuniq tower 120 extreme or something along those lines... Its gotta keep an i7 cool at stupid OC levels while folding. I won't be able to buy anything till i sell this water loop though.
@ SXR. i am talking to a friend, but ill def let you know if he says no, i have
swiftech pump with xspc top
ek lt waterblock
2x120mm rad (i think its ek, its blue)
1x120mm rad (black ice? its thick and high fin density)
fillport
bitspower 250 res
oh. and all the fittings, bitspower all the way, compression fittings. I was looking, its about 410 all new stuff, i was asking 280+shipping. also have a enzotech am2/am3 block, and a swiftech mc60 universal block. again, i'll let you know what my friend says. Ill shoot you a PM sunday and let you know.
Edit: oh, i forgot to mention that if my friend takes the wc loop that he wont need the 1155/1156 block because it;ll be used on a phenom 2x6. So that'll be available no matter what. its less than 2 weeks old, but i can't return it because the warranty sticker was broken on it. the o ring wasn't inserted properly and i had to open the block to fix the ring.
I got a Tt Frio to cool my 1090T. It's at 4Ghz and 51C (~12-15C ambient) right now while folding 24/7 for a couple weeks straight. If the sun is shining on the case it gets up to 55C. It would probably cool even better if my ram wasn't preventing the 'push' fan from being seated properly. My ram is kind of tall though. If you want a big heatsink, they don't get much bigger. I had to take a side intake case fan off to close the case...which still isn't technically closed. (My 'will-it-fit' pre-measuring was off by about 2mm):whistler: Pretty damn good for under $60. It comes with 2 decent fans as well. Once I get out of this damn apartment and have a place to tinker, I'll show you all what the Frio looks like submerged in cooling oil.:D
Lol.... well heat isnt a huge issue so much as noise... my p2x4 is running at 4ghz, folding, and the zalman fan i have on it is sunning crazy loud... temps are at 48*C. For fans i was thinking i would get an aero cool shark in blue to match the insides of my computer.
Where's the link to join?
Let me know when you are ready. I may have something huge by then. Is that BP 250 a 250mm rad? If so we might be able to make a trade for the CPU cooler. I have a Prolimatech Megahelms. Had an Armageddon but it belongs to Drumthumper. I need to ship it to him lol.
Either Download the F@H clients from the F@H site, or download the F@H tracker http://www.overclock.net/overclock-n...racker-v2.html then when you set it up, create a user name and our team number is 191053. Also if you do CPU folding make sure you get a passkey from the F@H site. It will give you bonus points.
id love to help you guys out on this but i have no idea what im doing here.
im running a phenom 955 @ 4ghz and a 5830 and 5850 in crossfire but i keep getting a error saying the core has encountered a serious problem and is shutting down. plus my gpus arent even at load or anything. if anyone would like to help me set this up id appreciate it.
I don't think it will work on SLI or crossfire. Also, if you take them out of crossfire, you'll likely have to force those cards with the 'ATI R800' setting in the config menu of the tracker program.
EDIT: Also, try running prime95 for about an hour and see if you get any errors in that.
if you hop on steam later (eg 6ish) i can help you get set up
Even if you just run the SMP client and get yourself a Passkey for the bonus points, you should be able to churn out well over 5 figures a day with that CPU....
As for the GPUs - I think mDust hit it right on the head - take them out of crossfire then force GPU selection on them and they should work but it'll mean constantly switching between crossfire for gaming and non-crossfire for folding which may quickly become a hassle.
If you DO go with the GPU folding AND the SMP folding, you may get better overall results if you force the CPU to only fold on 2 or 3 cores instead of all four - leaving CPU cores free to help with the GPU folding makes a big difference....
Heheh, hit another one. :D
:P am folding a lot with just my gpu :P and a 5770
Let's see who gets their first personal million....
