I wouldn't either! I read an article that showed that sand method, it's pretty ingenious. I was gonna make a pvp cannon and wanted one part ot be curved, filling the tube with sand prevents kinking and collapsing when you are bending it.Quote:

Wow. That's all I can really say though it doesn't do this mod justice. Simply amazing work defyant. I really learned a lot reading your worklog. The paper clip for the rom plug was brilliant an I think I'll have to steal that from ya for my mod :p.

Defyant, I've been watching your mods on various sites, and I gotta say, I agree with MDCS in her log when she said that you are the mod god. The whoel series of HP mods that you've completed and the attention to detail, I am truly awed. I've taken a couple of ideas from your logs, and the level of talent it takes is truly inspring. Thanks from a new guy.
BTW, HP RES 3 MEGA is my fav of them all. The dual screens is what does it. :D

I've been experimenting with plexiglass myself, just a small sheet I picked up after work down the street.
Have you ever thought about frosting a design into your glass?
I'm having trouble frosting flames into my sheet and I'm afraid if I try anymore the entire thing will be useless, on a budget so experimentation is so-so, the less materials I lose the better.
Simple amazing work bro, the points that get me are the inventive use of plexi inside the case, and the muted lighting, which I find to be especially nice. Also, the finish on outside of the case, great choice of colors, and the finish looks smooth as butter.

Wow, that's amazing; it doesn't even look like the same case at all! Major kudos Defyant! Don't even get me started on that Bondo-job; my case mod has quite a bit of Bondo involved, and the work you've done to that case is just inspirational. Thanks for helpin' me not give up and settle for second-class work!
how do you make your rear covers? i see this and i think it was HP1 have a very similar clean, horizontal spaced off rear cover...
maybe i missed it, but i swear i read every page quite a few times! lol

First thing to do is cut what will be the new CDROM door! Using a "thingamajig" the shape of the front panel is copied to the plex.
That "thingamajig" is called a profile guage (LOL). But I really am enjoying your work. That is some skill you have and I love the paint.
The wiring is excellant. It really is clean on the inside and it shows pride in your work.
I love that eject button on the CD. Thats what a modder can really do. My hat is off to you sir.
The water res is fantastic. Love where you mounted it, and its easy to fill.
Overall a incredible job. The glamour shots really show off your work. Bravo Zulu to you!

you sir are going to modder heaven, there are old pc cases up there singing in joy seeing one of their own become truely beautiful, ive thrown out more than my fair share of old cases in my life and never would i have thought that one could become something so amazing.

No offenses meant but WAY TOOO MUCH BLUE. I realize that the industry thinks everybody loves blue in there fans and peripherals but there is an entire color spectrum to choose from. Maybe its just me but all the blue is driving me nuts.
That was my original thought until i saw the finished product.:redface:
now its more like :banana: somebody used blue LED's without abusing them wooo hooo. Loved your use of acrylic and even when it seemed it went to far with the frosting I realized I had missed the bigger picture in how it would look in the final product. You sir are very good at keeping the bigger picture in mind and how things will end up. I applaud you for that. Best mod I have seen yet.
