Project: Future Lan

well... ive decided to start a new project while i work up some parts for a complete redesign of Catalyst Green

this project is called Future Lan

its base case will be a super lan boy

i cant think anymore on the introduction at this point so lets get started with the log shall we?

this case mod started off with a basic idea...just something random i whipped up in sketchup

some of you may recognize it from the chat,asking you your thoughts on it

for this...i got myself a new toy

but i no longer have it due to lack of money this week :/

outline cuts all done and holes drilled

cuts all finished...time to file

and this trim piece is complete, all but drilling the mounting holes

this will be about where it will be mounted

ive also started working on the fan grills for this case

thats where im at now, your thoughts?

the designs look interesting and very futuristic, and i think the outcomes is going to be neat:D

what coulor is that plexi, and what about making a plate just like it just a tad bigger to put underneath:D... that would look sweet but ill just se what you come up with:)

hehe...youre gettin a step ahead of me now...

its clear plex....and instead of a sheet below...im gonna have a polished alu sheet on top...just a bit smaller

I also like the style of those cuts, after seeing your water blocks I'm looking forward to watching this one.

last night i had some crazy ideas come to me for the inside of this case....im hoping that it is a unique idea...cuz i havent seen somethin like it before myself ;)

That looks fantastic, great start.

Here is a header for your worklog, I tried to incorporate all of the elements you mentioned. The brushed metal didn't come in too strong, but I tried to make the "wings" look like brushed metal overlaid with blue plexi, meh, close enough for pro-bono.

This is an excellent b4i7. Looks like you've already got the hang of the scroll saw. I think I just found what I'm saving up for :D.

@mal: its pretty easy to get the hang of....i just need to get better at focusing my eyes when cutting XD
