Yea, I understand. I'm US Air Force and don't frequent this site as much as another computer forum that I am more active.
I can't really offer much more proof then this, hope this changes your minds.

The rumor about SSD drives dieing in a few months is completely false. They will last years.

well, they *can* die sooner. my first OCZ Vertex drive died almost exactly 30 days after I started using it. But they sent me another, and it's been about a year now and it works great. So it's basically like anything else - there's bound to be defective ones floating around out there, but most will last a good long time.
