personally i would go with the razer for comfort.
well, i have a question. do you have larger hands? i have the sidewinder, one that looks just like that, with switchable weights and its somewhat hard for some of my friends with normal to small sized hands to use. i love it. on that note, i would recommend it, however, i am always a fan of razer, especially if you don't have large hands.
I have the CS Storm Sentinel and I wouldn't change it for anything else. easy macro recording, I've never had an issue with the software, sexy lighting, lcd display, weights, it's a beast.
My hands are about medium sized I suppose. They aren't small, but they aren't large either. Now my younger brother on the other hand has large hands which can wrap entirely around a football and he's about 4 years younger than me, so maybe I do have large hands but they seem smaller in comparison...
But I've always used really small laptop mice and I think I want to try something a bit bigger. I don't really like that only 3 fingers are on the mouse whereas my thumb and pinky are dragging on the table, I just like the size of those mouse in usage and portability. But, meh. Time for a big boy mouse I think. lol
Unfortunately they no longer sell them! Though there is that Xornet... Hmm.
So what's the difference between high-end optical and high-end laser? The CM mouse and the Razer mouse are pretty nice, but it's optical tracking, albeit high-performance optical. The Sidewinder is high-performance laser, but lower DPI than the Razer and on par with the CM.
CM - 2000 DPI - Optical
Razer - 3500 DPI - Optical
Sidewinder - 2000 DPI - Laser
I can't make heads or tails of all of this. I've always just used logitech laser notebook mice.
sometimes the type of tracking affects which surfaces you can use it on, i believe, and high dpi only matters if you like high sensitivity.
I love my sidewinder. No issues with it at all.

Pretty much the same as this
I'm a little late to the party.... but after running ms, corsair, RAT, and a couple other "gaming" mice i can say that after 3 years with my razer i will never go back
