More info can be really useful
Mobo model?
OS?
Did you installed the drivers?
ASUS P4GV-LA
windows xp home
I'm looking for the drivers now, now on a different computer. I can't seem to find them though... not even at asus
http://members.driverguide.com/drive...riverid=241222
these seem to be the ones I need?
I've read a comment that said it can be.
the board is made by ASUS, but made specially for HP. That suck real time.
What type of internet do you have? Are you using the onboard NIC?
Some ISP's require you to register the MAC address of your NIC in order to get online. If you've changed mobo's (and therefore NIC), then you may need to re-register with your ISP.
Telus uses this system with it's DSL for example.. I'm sure others do as well.
I have cox, should I give them a call?
and i dont know what an onboard NIC is
After a quick search, the mobo use the realtek rtl8100c drivers.
Witch can be found here LINK
i burned them to a disk and installed... still no internet. :(
for some reason its only displaying "local area connection 3"
rather than 1 and 2.
maybe the mb is DOA? everything else seems to be working just fine.
