My radiostation FuG-01/ET
Hi everybody!
I'd like to present my first mod here. It's a radiostation styled case with Enemy Territory (Wolfenstein) atmosphere. Everything works well. The voltmeter monitors the critical voltages i.e. +3,3V, +5V, +12V and the fan voltages (case fan, CPU fan and PSU fan) by the system of switches. CPU-fan and case-fan voltages are controlled by potentiometers. The ampermeter indicates the total current consumption. The phone doesn't work ;)
I hope you will like it...
Happy moddin'

Nice job!!
Very well done for your first case mod...
Re: My radiostation FuG-01/ET
looks awesome, glad you took the time to paint the keyboard keys too.
Re: My radiostation FuG-01/ET
very nice...!! excellent case mod--its really tight :D
Re: My radiostation FuG-01/ET
Very, very nice work. The bullet holes are a nice touch, and very well implemented.
I'd love to see a work log for this!
Also, consider making the phone functional - adding a mic and single speaker wouldn't be over-hard, and it would be awesome to have it work for Skype or other VoIP programs.
Re: My radiostation FuG-01/ET
I agree with Rankenphile--you could even take apart a USB mic/headset and utilize that for TeamSpeak or Skype
Re: My radiostation FuG-01/ET
i would like to see the back of the case, do you have any pictures?
Re: My radiostation FuG-01/ET
First thank you for your nice comments. I'm glad you like my mod.
The complete worklog of the project you can see here http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=87387 ... also the back of the case - anything special.
I'm thinking still about making the phone functional. There is everything inside the handset (mic and speaker) and the cables too. I don't use this channel for communicatnion so I had no preasure to instal it.
Greetings

Today I added new pictures. Here they are:
Re: My radiostation FuG-01/ET
Very, very nice work. I really enjoyed the worklo, as well.
One comment I do have is that, with all of the aging you did on the case (very well, I might add) the rivets still seem awfully clean. Perhaps finding a way to tarnish their surfaces a bit might keep them from standing out as strongly as they do.
Please don't take that as criticism, however. I think the work you did is top-notch.

Actually the rivets aren't new. They were "matured" with the sandpaper too. You should have seen the before ;) ... clean and shiny
I put some pics of the keyboard and lighting.

Re: My radiostation FuG-01/ET
i also saw your mod over at Metku Mods a little while back. was blown away then and am still blown away now. it looks awesome! love the fact that you did the whole package with the mouse and keyboard and everything, very clean. great job!
Re: My radiostation FuG-01/ET
What would be cool for novelty but annoying to use, is you could mod that phone into a mouse itself that way when playing you can pick up the phone and put it onto the desktop while playing, and hang it up when you're done.
Ofcourse, as i said, it would be a pain in the ass mouse to use.
Re: My radiostation FuG-01/ET

Re: My radiostation FuG-01/ET
I thought I saw some old school style skype/voip phones or perhaps you could mod one into that old receiver so you could use it... that would be awesome. Very impressive case, I love the ageing, really looks beat up and war torn. :)
