TBCS Art Contest IV - Clothing Design
Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to design clothing for TBCS. You can make a shirt, sweater, scarf, parachute pants, I don't care. Just make it look cool.
Pictures of the design are absolutely necessary! It's an Art Contest. Also, if you design a shirt for instance, I want to see the shirt with the design, not just the design! Remember it's TBCS clothing, so it has to have something for the site: Web address, logo, etc.
This is mandatory!
Well, now here’s what you have to do to make sure it’s an acceptable entry.
The Rules:
1. Registered TBCS members only with at least 20 posts at the time of submittal. Staff allowed to enter.
2. Entries to be submitted by Sept 21, 2008 at 23:59 Central U.S. Time
3. I don't care about the format just as long as I can open it.
4. Use any software you like, 2D/3D etc. You can enter your own pencil drawings if you wish.
5. Any resolution acceptable.
6. No limit to how much you edit or modify your images.
7. Judging will be done by you, the TBCS community!
8. You may submit 1 design only.
9. Scoring/Voting: Will be done by the TBCS community!
Prize:
1. Builder's Copy of Microsoft Office 2007 (Not Ultimate, but sooo close)
2. Internal ATA LG GSA-H55N DVD writer
3. Medal on the Award System
4. +Rep from me, and possibly many other members
Send your entries to tgs@thebestcasescenario.com before Sept 21, 2008 at 23:59 Central Time.

Only one of anything. One entry per person. Your entry can be any type of clothing. You can make a hat, or pants, or a shirt, I don't care. How many ways can I say that you can only have one entry?

Re: TBCS Art Contest IV - Clothing Design
So, question . . .Is this something that is supposed to be plausible, or just theoretical clothing? I guess the real question is, is the winning design going to go into production? Does the cost of making the winning design in real life affect who will win? That makes a big difference in how I design. Chain mail, wifi finders and LEDs vs. something practical.
-
Re: TBCS Art Contest IV - Clothing Design

Re: TBCS Art Contest IV - Clothing Design
Alright, how's it going? Is this the death of Art Contests at TBCS or what?
-
Re: TBCS Art Contest IV - Clothing Design
I'm in. I've got to work on mine today, which will include a trip to the store. I'm thinking my medium is going to be real clothing! However, if not enough people finish (including me), will there perhaps be an extension?
-
Re: TBCS Art Contest IV - Clothing Design
Maybe. Depends on the number of participants which looks bleak thus far.
-
Re: TBCS Art Contest IV - Clothing Design
I'm going to have to say I'm out too. I want a real competition, and I haven't really worked too much on this. I also haven't worked too hard because I want real competition. I guess we put this one on hold until we get enough people involved? Is anyone else interested in this?
-
Re: TBCS Art Contest IV - Clothing Design
I'm wondering the same thing. We need at least 3 participants, otherwise I'm canceling.
-

Re: TBCS Art Contest IV - Clothing Design
I'll have one in to you either tonight or early tomorrow afternoon. I'm working on it now just not sure if I'll be happy with it before I crash or not.

Re: TBCS Art Contest IV - Clothing Design
Hello,
I hope I'm not too late for the contest :).
This is my first post here but i read through forums for around two years, but when i saw this thread i knew i got to register and try to do what i like the most, meaning designing graphics.
So here it is :)
I'd love some constructive criticism :)

The "TBCS logo" looks a bit like it was just slapped on, you know? Maybe just have the letters "TBCS" in white or something? It could be just me but I think it looks a bit out of place.
On the front, "such word doesn't exist in my dictionary" might sound better if it said something more like "never a bad thing" or something a bit shorter like that. It just seems like too long of a message to me for some reason. /.02
