Anyhoo, the wife wants a new mac mini, and though I have yet to say yes, I feel I will have no choice but to buy one. I think I;ll agree to it on the condition that before she uses it, I can hack it apart, paint it, and make it look nicer than the stock config.
Anyone out there mod a mac before?
I think I saw a few of those already modded, if I had a need for a dedicating editing\graphics arts computer Id probably buy one. I really dig em. Is the case solid aluminum? if so Id powder coat or anodize it. good luck and show it off when your done.
I have seen a few mac mods, but only little things like a neon light behind the grill of a G5.
I would like to see a a mac larger scale mac mod.
I've modded a mac g4 to pc use if that counts :D
I was looking for macs modded into macs, not pc's. That's ok though. I don't think there's a huge following like in the PC market. Their loss, no?
I envy your wife. I want a Mac mini too. I like the case. I have an iBook. Macs are nice she'll really like it. It will be very interesting to see what you do to it.

Oh, and the only reason we bought our current house is because I made her agree to turn the 260 sq ft. 'family' room into my computer lab and entertainment lair.
She never gets to watch proper television because I'm always using the T.V., but to my defence, I keep telling her to buy another. (we have 4 T.V.s already.)
I cook. She cleans. Sounds fair, except my hellion children can destroy a house faster than any natural disaster. For fun, I tell them to go wild.
But she gets even.
