Re: DarthBeavis Project: Holocron (Windows Home Server build)
I am both excited and disappointed.
When I read holocron, I went Sith Holocron (ie little intricately carved pyramid). Wow, Darth making a super ornate pyramid out of plexi! Nice!
but then I clicked and went doh! It's a media server so its probably referring to the LOADS of info stored on it.
BTW nice case regardless, love the girly jedi/sith chicks.
Can we get higher res screens if possible?

50TB for a home server? I'd hate to see what he'd put into an enterprise situation

Re: DarthBeavis Project: Holocron (Windows Home Server build)
It looks amazing! But why put a GTX 580 SLI in a server?

HTPC - hooked to my 70" sony TV. Can game on it. That and I have five 580s with three in my gaming machine so I had two leftover

Re: DarthBeavis Project: Holocron (Windows Home Server build)
Two reasons for 40TB:
DVD&BluRay ripping

Re: DarthBeavis Project: Holocron (Windows Home Server build)
I looked at the DD case for my server but I just can't justify the price. Double wide cases are way over priced IMO. So I'll just build my own!
Either way, great build DarthBeavis.
-
Re: DarthBeavis Project: Holocron (Windows Home Server build)
That's why I'm making my own double-wide case.
Teaser for my personal server build ;)
-
Re: DarthBeavis Project: Holocron (Windows Home Server build)
I wish I had time to build my own cases from scratch but I have to do builds for NVIDIA on a schedule . . .tight schedule.
-
Re: DarthBeavis Project: Holocron (Windows Home Server build)
Not a scratch-build, either..........

If you are not buying a case but you are making one isn't that a scratch build?
-
Re: DarthBeavis Project: Holocron (Windows Home Server build)
You'll see...
I'm making a cube case, but I'm not building it from scratch, either.
