I was just reading about that last night! I can't wait!!!
I heard about it accidentally - looked at the Wikipedia article on Morrowind and saw TES V: Skyrim under "See also"... I thought at first it might be vandalism, but ohhh no. I'm just excited that it won't be an MMO...
Apparently its is the first "sequel" in the series, as it picks up directly where oblivion left off. So here's hoping that it will be just as large if not larger than the oblivion map. Hoping it will be full of caves and dungeons to explore too. Either way, I am in for it on launch day!
11/11/11 looks like their target date.
My life has new meaning.
Isn't that the same time as Diablo 3 release? There goes my winter vacation.
im just happy that my gpu upgrade next month will have a purpose.
Ehem. *clears throat*
.
Squeeee!
.
That is all.
Maybe I will do a mod! Or at least attempt to do one. :P ANyone have any leaked screen caps?

I am in no way prepared.. i dont have enough vacation days or food stores for this.. I must prepare.
We've got 11 months, that should be enough time to prepare...right?
maybe if my vacation rolled over every year and i could find a 24 hour child/wifecare facility
Can I get a definitive on what tech it uses? DX10, 11, what?
its a new engine, so hopefully its dx11.
Ok, I just got home and was able to read the article (blocked at work...says it's a gaming website..bah! :P ). I....wow, I need to..ok, I have a new goal for my computer. I need to get two more Samsung 2343's, replace my current computer with either a Bulldozer or i7 Sandy Bridge, and get one of the next generation of video cards that can push anything known to man, plus about 40% (if Oblivion was any indication), in a triple-head eyefinity (or whatever nVidia calls theirs) config... My deadline is November 10th. ...oh yes, and also save up some PTO... :whistler:
Seriously...I don't think I've been this excited about a new game since...huh, well, since Oblivion. :D
I can't afford a new computer. Go go pentium dual core, I know you can do this :P
pshaw play it on console
Also, console requires a TV...and a console..neither of which are things I have... :whistler:
Heh...I never finished Oblivion because the game was so buggy it would constantly crash and corrupt my saves. Bethesda is infamous for such nonsense. If they pinky-swear that this game will work correctly I might...MIGHT...play it. I have a full list of games I'll be playing throughout '11 though, so I'll try to fit this in.:)
Yeah...most of BethSoft's games have been pretty buggy for me in one way or another. I had the least problems with Oblivion though, so I'm hoping Skyrim has even less. ...I'll still play it obsessively though, even if it is unstable...heck, Fallout 3 would randomly crash all the time because of my audio drivers, but I still managed to log a ridiculous number of hours in it. :whistler:
I avoided the Fallout series. They're cool games and all...but Bethesda needs to learn how to finish a game before they release it. I refuse to pay money for something that I know doesn't work right and possibly never will.
Not even bizarre. Major bugs are well documented in every game they've ever released. I'm glad I borrowed Oblivion from a friend instead of buying it...Quote:

I encountered corrupted or screwed up saves in Morrowind, but never in Oblivion. There was the occasional bug or two, but nothing too dramatic.
same here. Oblivion ran pretty smooth for most of the time, but there was a bug every so often(a lot more since I started adding mods to it :D)

information on the engine.
*Checks calendar* ..ok, only 9 months and 25 days left..
Looks like I will have to cobble something together as well...
I think your rig will easily suffice for Skyrim.
Well of course, but where is the fun in not building a new rig?
Just found a Trailer http://www.gametrailers.com/video/vg...scrolls/708368

Oh man! Oh man! Oh man!
Please let them release this game without major bugs. Help me appease the gaming gods!
ok, looks like I'm gonna have to get my hands on some better stuff before november.
and BTW, I humbly sacrifice my Xbox to the gaming gods as a request for a major glitch-free Skyrim:bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:
