Erm... I don't really think micro$oft got owned. I would more say that the people of that street got owned lol.

haha
Yeah, I'd say that M$ owned, and the citizens got owned.
Heh heh, imagine the responses of both M$ and the locals... five bucks says that guy got fired, heh heh... (no, not a real bet :p )
These comapnies are increasingly farming out their ****ed up viral marketing campaigns (lest not we forget Boston) to third party companies, who in turn probably hire independent contractors to protect thier own asses. I'm sure companies like M$ put a good distance (on paper) between themselves and the campaign to avoid legal troubles. Scumbags. I wonder how that pricey sound system would have looked with a couple of dozen raw eggs thrown into it from my window, or a fine tuning from my lead filled BeCool Stick I keep by the door.
A "lead filled BeCool Stick"...
I don't want to be around when Crimson decides to... "Coolify" people with it.
:) :)
The thing about viral marketing..is that you can't force it. Its reaallllly a risky marketing strategy.
Great product, horrible marketing ideas. You should see their TV commercials :D. It was probably some loon with the idea that he could grab M$'s attention, and in stead, ****ed it all up.
Those are some small drivers for the speakers...
I have to agree on the horrible marketing.. When ever MS tries to be "hip" they end up looking creepy and distrurbing, IE Zune TV commercial LINK
As for great product I have to respectfully disagree with you on that. The wifi is useless except to "Squirt" music to another Zune. Which of course you only get 3 plays or 3 days to use. The enforcement of DRM on media that isn't even necessarily copywritten, to me is unacceptable AND the fact that MS folded to Universal Music and agreed to pay them money for EVERY Zune sold, just fuels greed of the music labels. So I must agree with LEO here and boycott the Zune. Its sad because it really could have been a nice piece of equipment. :(
Oh man that Zune commercial was just wrong. Disturbing penis creatures and clenching butts...not to mention the French accordion music.--- wtf?... I'm not the same person I was .45 sec ago.
That was weird...
I have no idea what Zune is from watching that commercial.
I have a Zune. It's awesome (the commercials are disturbing though :p), and it is the best mp3 player I've had (out of 7, including ipod video, nano, mini, Zen, Rio, Gateway, etc.). They just need a better marketing strategy.
Zunes are cool, but I like my awesome new mp3 player: the iPAQ rx4240. It plays music, videos, can connect to the internet, has a calendar, you can install new programs, it has a touch screen, and best of all, it has expandable memory. :)
