Nice looking, and the more pics the better. I really like the keyboard color and your choice of led colors in the case...

Re: A few more little thermaltake armor mods
Heh, good luck with the Gigabyte. I had REALLY bad expiriences with them. Worst quality motherboards. I mean I loved Gigabyte but there lack of quality disgusts me. Good luck with it.
/sob I miss the hp mods :(

I like that one picture taken from the bottom up. It makes the tower seem so huge and impressive. I like it. +rep for a good mod, and good picture skills.

Re: A few more little thermaltake armor mods
Guys, This is off-topic, but I REALLY advise against Gigabyte, I had over 13 Gigabyte boards and they all bit the dust. Please, anything but the G.

13 Gigabyte boards? Even a puppy stops chewing your shoes when you hit it with a rolled up newspaper after a few times. Geeze.

Re: A few more little thermaltake armor mods
My two have Gigabyte boards kept on keeping on. They were only replaced due to upgrading the chipset and the previous chipset was no longer made.
Anyway, on topic that does look pretty cool. I like those cases, but I like making my own from other cases more.

Gigabyte actually invented the hardware that the internet was built on. Talk about a fall from grace.
Anyway, never had problems with Gigabyte before, so methinks this is an exaggeration, or perhaps the input of someone who didn't know exactly what they were doing.

Re: A few more little thermaltake armor mods
yo im working in a kandalf case..basically the same exact case as the armor..jw were did u mount ur CCFLs??...im having a hard time find a place to put some in ???
-
Re: A few more little thermaltake armor mods
It is either exaggeration, or a bad run. If there was a build for a shop, and there were a lot of boards purchased all at once, it is feasible that they purchased a bad lot of boards. Entirely possible when you are dealing with the production scale that Gigabyte puts out.
But those are very rare.

Anyone remember the IBM 75GXP hard drive debacle? I had 18 of those drives at my desk as they started failing. When I had first started at that comany, I saw that they were purchasing these drives by the bulk, and I advised them against it. The company continued to buy them, saying that "Because they are so popular is why you are seeing the high failure rates...." and I strongly disagreed. They found out the truth as they started failing all over the company.

Hi there, wow this thread is still alive?! ]
Anyways, I placed the cathodes along the top brace (1) and down the inside of the drive bays (1). They are UV cathodes too if you wanted to know

Re: A few more little thermaltake armor mods
Loving the UV look. And the set up as a whole is just epic.

Re: A few more little thermaltake armor mods
oh wow.. i love water cooling so much. it just looks so badass
-
Re: A few more little thermaltake armor mods
Whoa sick case. Im just wondering though what side panel is that on your armor? I hate mine having the stupid black designs blocking the case.
-
Re: A few more little thermaltake armor mods
I'm planning on painting mine this weekend as well, now I know how awesome its going to look
heres how mine looked before I installed my hd3870x2, now I've got to rearrange and re-route everything (and paint)

The water tubes themselves look like cathodes, really stands out, good stuff
The insides look tons better painted black, good mod.
Personally I'm too scared of setting up water cooling, untill I come up with a good config, I'm thinking pump, res, and radiators in a box underneath the pc, if or when i have another go at it.
Only ever had 1 gigabyte board, was a p35-dq6. I was impressed with its temps, but the only thing that puts me off gigabyte is they don't have a proper dedicated forum like some others do, ausus have a good forum and so do evga, not sure about others. I am truly shocked at the price of the new EVGA Classified Intel X58 thou it is £437 IN UK.
