For issue number 6 have you tried changing the compatibility to XP SP2??

But if you install an XP driver it may just work. Worth a shot anyway.
I you right click on the setup application, click properties and then compatibility, you will see the box shown below.

Tick the box shown in red and leave it set to XP Service Pack 2.
Try then installing it again and see i that works.

Concerning Problem #4:
I don't know how to fix it. But I know that Vista changed the whole audio stack so that it bypasses sound cards. So far, I have only heard that Creative is working on a thing called "Alchemy" that bypasses it. It is only for their X-fi line though. I think you would have to configure it through Vista's software to get 5.1 working all the time.
