I think we need more details than just a smilie and a couple of pictures...
Wait...i think i get it! It's an artistic representation of how Microsoft developed windows, isn't it? Ctrl+Alt+Del, the 3 fingered salute. First photo shows some backwards letters. In the second photo, they're stuck on any old way. In the third, they're covered in paint. In the last, you have a Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard, with what appears to be some kind of special characters on the keys; perhaps representing interaction between you, the user, and the painted Microsoft throw-together.
I'm right aint I!
Microsoft's design methodologies are notoriously bad; they simply don't care about program comprehension and modern design methods. They care about razzle dazzle, money, and suing the pants off anyone who might be doing a better job than them: especially if they're doing it for free. Whether i'm right or wrong, you can't deny my artistic interpretation makes some valid points!
...right?

I think that he is going to cast the letters. They are all on sprues, which he will put into plaster, which will go in a furnace and then molten metal will be poured in the mold and then he will have metal whatever-those-things-are.
This could be a really cool idea for a "Modders Challenge". Somebody could create some type of way out there mod and then you have to guess the theme, final design, what materials are used etc.... Anybody?
Oops, so I just realized I Hijacked this post. Sorry.
stainless keyboard. just make sure the return membrane is hearty enough to handle the weight.
Probably a good guess there Maz. Going on the Stainless mouse Filimon did.
:)
:smoker:
I'm still seeing an artistic expression of the Microsoft development cycle.
Picture 1: The cheap grey stuff of the Microsoft product is exposed by hackers, crackers, and professionals alike.
Picture 2: All the useless buttons fall out.
Picture 3: All the useful buttons fall out.
I think he's going to keep us guessing really though guys. Have to admit I'm intrigued though...

Thank you very much for your messages. It’s interesting for me to hear your opinion about my project. As I don't know English fluently it's difficult to me to communicate with you in writing. I'm sending you the photos where I'm going to show my project step by step.
This is cool seeing the project unfolding and not knowing where it is going.
We should have more of this.
I think I get where this is headed. Filimon is using typewriter letter he heated with a camp stove to make the letters on the keys imprinted into the key rather than printed on it. Then he will probably paint the keyboard along with some other great modifications to it.
I like the use of pictures and no captions in the project log. Great work Filimon!
But why the semicircular notches in the keys...?
I think he's melting the letter into the keycaps, then going to make moulds from them and cast them in stainless. Then fit the new ones to the keyboard.
Neat idea. Trust me, you're way better at English than Xbox Live members :p
Kinda like a literal keyboard for blind people.
Pretty cool I must say
+Rep for originality
I'd like to emphasize that this will only work once. Now that it's been done, i personally don't want to see it done again. It's original and unique, which makes it interesting. So don't anyone else start doing this.Quote:

I'm intrigued by what's going on with this. I guess i'm just going to have to wait and see.

I'm not saying he needs an excuse. He's doing something original and it's intentional. Put it like this: would you got to a Japanese forum, post some pictures and a smiley, and think they understand you? No. Filimon knows exactly what he's doing; leading us on! :) I just don't want everyone else to think "OMG That Roxors gonna do that on my next phat l337 m0d!" If you get what i mean. :)Quote:
This guy has a legitimate excuse though.
-Dave
maybe hes rainman
just do on the jap forum he mentionted :P
interesting in the keyboard too...
this i got to see
i'm subscribed :D
Letters, Keyboard, Booklight, This can only mean one thing...not quite sure what it is though yet!
Is it just me that reckons that lamp/light thing looks like a mouse with a growth?
Me too. Oddest. Worklog. Ever.Quote:
intrigued
Like it though.
Silence....
Keeps you in suspense, im hooked.
damn it !
this guy kills me... arrghhh
this just started to feel like one of those mass hysteria experiments !
It looks as if he is going to make the keyboard backlit? Perhaps he/she could use www.freetranslation.com to attempt some sort of communication? :) Just an idea...
Ha! I was right about casting the letters.
My next guess is that the cutouts in the sides are for LEDs.
And the spacebar will be illuminated by that book lamp we saw earlier.
This is so random lol
