Sketchup Logos
I have been asked how I hand make my logos that I do for the super hero cases I have been designing. So here is a little tutorial on how I do it. You may have a better way or a different idea. So I welcome you to add it to this page or make your own. I know for a fact that my way is a little slow. Thanks for reading.
First thing I do is find a good sized pic of the logo that I am trying to do. I have selected one I have not worked with yet. The Batman Begins logo.
Now I make a box around the dimensions the I figure is close to the actual furthest outside dimensions of the logo.
Then I make a few lines to help myself find where the points are going to change direction.
I continued to make the outline in straight lines.
Once I have a general outline I use the curve tool to make a curve as close to my original as possible.
Now I expand the area I am working with making each measurement on both sides since the piece I am working with is symmetrical.
Now that I have a shape I can make adjustments as necessary.
Now that I have the shape I am happy with I erase the lines.
Give it some depth.
And then give it some color. And now I have a logo I can use in my designs.
Thanks for reading my tutorial.
