Thanks everyone!
So here's some history on the bike. It belongs to a friend. Not sure how many miles are on it, but those fairings were actually pretty chewed up. The owner before him laid the bike down. My friend did all of the plastic and fiberglass work. I primed these with some krylon high build. I know, a regular spray primer would have been much better, but he's buying new plastic next year. So, all of what you see here will have auto air pearlized white with some blue fire coming out of the vents on the fairings. Not a lot, just some really loose unrefined licks. The gas tank, nose cone, and half of the tail piece are all getting pearlized blue; the other half of the tail piece will be white. Unfortunately, I don't have any before pictures.. my friend started sanding and glassing before I could get any. He's a little anxious, but he's gonna check with the guy he bought it from and see if he has any.
Anyway, that's the plans. Wish me luck, this will be my first ever base coat and graphics.
Oh yeah.. the gas tank was repaired and prepped at a body shop. It was dented all over. I'll have pictures of it up on Friday. That's when I'm shooting the blue on it.
Billy - I buy from tcpglobal.com. You can check on auto air's site and see if there are any dealers close to you. The dealer that's close to me (closer to work actually) isn't open when I'm in that area. I started on a HF special. It's actually not a bad brush to get going with. It's all about trigger control and paint reduction.
Cool thanx for the info. I will watch this for sure, and have faith you will do well :)
I'm wanting to do a big paint project on my bike. Good luck!
Before pictures?
The only ones I have are up. Working on others.
Aw, I wish you woulda taken pictures of the bike before you stripped it and everything.
Looking forward to seeing the airbrushing.
