Turning pictures into a video?
I've been meaning to learn how to make my worklogs into videos. I'll do the video at the end of the project. I just want to play the photos from the worklog in a certain order kind of like the "photos" screensaver in Windows, but with music too. I thought about trying to use Powerpoint and added transitions, but I'm not sure how that will turn out. Any idea what program I can use?

If you are patient and have a copy of Adobe Suite laying around I recommend trying to learn adobe After Effects. You will have so much more control over the project than with any slideshow software and it is easy to splice in video footage here and there which is not possible with most slideshow makers. Videocopilot is definately the way to go to learn, just start the training video and follow along.

+1 to the above. After Effects is great for visual effect stuff, but good old Adobe Premier will do a really good job as well and is a little easier to learn in some ways. Either way you will get a really good final product easily.

I don't have it. Sounds pricey

You can do that pretty easily with Windows Movie Maker as mentioned above, and it's a free Windows tool from Microsoft. It doesn't have all the fancy extras as other programs, but for a basic worklog with music and a slideshow, it should work quite well.

windows movie maker.
in windows 7 its under windows live, and make sure you add the Service pack for windows live movie maker as it adds a bunch of features and extras that make it as strong as window's XP's movie maker (and then some)
