I'm not much on casinos or gambling but you've got to check out Freemont Street at night. Awesome light show.
never been to Vegas so I can't say lol.. have fun though!
This really is awesome news, I always love seeing TBCS get more mainstream recognition. :D
As for what to do is Vegas..hmm... TBH I'm not too big on the casinos and gambling either, but there are some really cool pieces of architecture on the strip. Yes, yes, I'm a huge nerd...surprise! Last August at Defcon, I convinced my friends that while we were bar hopping we should go down to the Luxor (giant pyramid), partly just because, but mostly (which I didn't tell them) because I wanted to see the pyramid structure that was, when it was built at least, the largest freestanding enclosed room in the world (outside of stadiums, I suppose). ..like I said..huge nerd...surprise! :P Anyways, if you're really interested, it is pretty neat...but for the love of god do not walk down there. It's all the way at one end of the strip and practically nothing is anywhere near it.
On a less nerdy note, you should definitely check out Caesar's Palace. Awesome neo-Roman architecture, really neat shopping area modeled on Venice..oh, and there's lots of gambling and booze too. ;)
Oh, and try a buffet. One of those 'guide to the city' booklets that you get at the hotels/airport/cabbies/etc should have most of the casinos' buffets rated. I wouldn't recommend breakfast, since it's a bit hard to justify cost-wise, but definitely do lunch or dinner. A good one will run around $30-60, but it's worth it. :D I'm assuming CES is at the convention center? If so, I think the closest one (if you don't feel like walking very far) is the one in the Wynn. I've actually been to that one, so I can vouch for it...very, very good. ..also, just found out there's apparently a Ferrari/Maserati dealership in the Wynn, if you're a car nut. ;)
Freemont Street is already definitely on the agenda but it's nice to get another nod of recommendation for it - we're also looking into going out one night as a group for a meal, but the week is rapidly filling up with parties, I mean Industry Events *cough* so we may end up without a free night to do that.
Thanks for the suggestions though - keep 'em coming....
If you happen to run into a hooker named Alexis...
Don't do it!!!! She's a dude.
Yes, be sure to check out our Youtube, Flickr, Facebook accounts for videos, and photos from all of the parties we attend. YOu can also follow my every move on the TBCS twitter account.

You know when kids get to that age - around 5-7 years old when they're old enough to really look forward to christmas and still young enough to believe in Santa - it's about 4am on Christmas Morning and they're standing by your bed asking "Is it time to get up yet? Has he been?".....
Well I'm starting to think Oneslowz28 is MORE excited about this trip than those kids are about Christmas :P
