How to fix the "Restore pages Chrome didn't shut down correctly" error?

Hello friends. Whenever I am trying to open Chrome after a restart, it shows a "Restore pages Chrome didn't shut down correctly" error message. Even after clicking on the “restore pages” option, the previously opened pages are not coming back. Can anyone give me any suggestion on why this is happening and how to fix the issue? It would be greatly appreciated.

So, I found this yesterday. After I disabled Chrome from running background applications after it closes, the “Chrome did not shutdown correctly” error was fixed.
