I read about this this morning. I wonder if businesses are just turning lights off or if they're turning off anything mission critical also.
And by mission critical, I mean the computers, the refrigeration units, the freezer units, the A/C, the heat, etc etc etc.

I normally have my lights off.... makes me feel like I'm at a LAN sort of >.>;

I did, even unplugged my compy, I read for a bit then took a nap, woke up feeling terrible because the kids next door didn't participate and were blasting music, vibrations when I sleep really screw me up.

Seriously. I was moving house... Too distracted to go to San Fransisco and set up a ton of halogens.

thats a bit strange with google because some screens (Naimly Plasma's) use more energy to produce black than it is to produce white, also some cheaper LCD's need more power also
