As you can see, my beautiful paint job was ruined. I think it was because...
Haha! That matches my old house. (I'm in SoCal).
The paints I used:
Krylon fusion for plastic (White)
Rustoleum clear coat enamel on top of that
Spawn: That makes a lot of sense! I think that the clear coat got into the cracked part of the color coat and thinned out the paint.
Sgt M: yeah, I think it was too heavy. I saw a big drip on it when I looked at it last. Oh well, now I've learned.
Tybrenis: If it was a reaction between the paints, wouldn't the whole thing be...
OK, so I had this genius idea in my head that I would paint the cover for my calculator (A TI-84 +). I used white Krylon fusion for plastic, and I covered the 3 rubber nubs with liquid band-aid, then...
Update!!
My paint and my UV lights came!! Unfortunately, the geniuses at Xoxide sent me orange UV paint, instead of blue. I am working on getting that fixed. The lights are really cool! They flash...
Hello everyone, I am a total noob when it comes to modding, but I'm looking to get better.
My question is: What are the steps one should take when painting something? When and why should you...
how did you do that?
Thanks, that looks good.
Your setup looks pretty good, I myself have most of those parts.
I was going to get that graphics card, but I found that this one was better. It has better specs and is cheaper. I've had it for 5...
On the topic of switches . . .
With this arrangement of wires would I be able to turn on two cold cathodes with one switch? Or would it short or something?
...
Haha, I = DUMB :D
There is a whole long post about just this already in existance
Oooh, thats a good idea. I could somehow incorporate a fan into the pattern that I spray on with the UV paint.
See the link for the UV lights I got to find out what meteor lights are. They are...
Well I don't have a scrap piece, but there is a little edge that doesn't show (see above pictures). I'll use that.
What do you guys think of the meteor lights?
Update Party!
I ordered this UV light. I liked that one because it has the cool control over the flashing of the LEDs. I would have gotten the Ultra brand CCFLs, but they were out of stock.
I...
Cool!
Thanks to all
How do you take out rivets? Like if you wanted to take apart a case. I don't really know much about rivets.
I've FINISHED!

Hi everyone! I have an update on the window's progress!
Pictures:
I used this enamel to seal the raw metal from the cut, the color is to match the case...
Won't that many fans be like a small tornado in your case in terms of noise?
First . . . some pictures!
The cut. The ugly bump on the right side is where the latch came out, I will file that down later.

Hi everyone,
I'll have pictures tomorrow. I cut one more side and a curve. Turns out the jigsaw can cut tight enough on the corners! I'm glad that I did that instead of the dremel. The only...
UPDATE:
I went to the hardware store and bought supplies! (5-minute epoxy, jigsaw blades, enamel for the edges, brushes, files, glasses). When I got home i started in on the side itself. Apart...
About the UV blocking acrylic: I picked up the fact in a the Maximum PC guide to extreme PC mods, in a section about a guy who put a bunch of UV lights in his case and wrote on his (lexan) window in...
