any pre-made "Kit" is going to be making sacrifices in order to be a "one-size-fits-all" application made within only certain company partnerships.
The best setup is going to be made using your...
Most fans require a certain minimum voltage to turn ON, which may not be the same as the minimum voltage to keep it running. This is the POP-ON voltage. I want to set up my rheostats to only allow...
What would happen if I re-wired a rheostat to take advantage of the +5v line instead of the Ground?
Let's say I use the Sunbeam fan-controller:

But, I didn't...
I'm one of the new guys here, but I'm definately up for the challenge.

These are the blinds that are fit between two panes of glass. I've thought about using these for a side-panel window. They...

I found this awesome site that does nothing but powersupply reviews. It has tons of info. And it rates some of the top ones....
I have found everything I needed in these models. Love it, guys. Thanks a ton.
Thanks.
That is going to help a TON!
Does anyone out there use Sketchup to model their computers?
I'm in the process of laying out my next project. I was hoping to save time by finding a completed Sketchup file of a motherboard...

Those two 120mm fans are the actual heatsink cooler.
Very big.
Has anyone ever done or seen a watercooling setup that used copper piping instead of the "plastic" tubing?
It would require lots of planning, but it would dissapate a ton of heat.

Yeah I'm on a dual setup over here.
I have my old 15GB drive and my new 20GB. Rock on.
There are a lot of 120v / 240v pumps out there. 12v DC pumps are a new thing.
Look for something like a wall-mount light switch. And be careful.
Wow. If that's the case, then that will become my new PowerSupply.
That's awesome.

But that is also one of those that degrades over time and has been known to pick up conductive properties after a while.
Well, just a real quick comparrison....
AMD's naming scheme (although they don't admit this completely) was to show how their chips compare to Intel chips. They were clocked slower, but did more...
Well, not that I was thinking it would "spill" out. :lick:
But, many people have tried to use non-conductive fluids, but only to find out that over time they degrade and become semi-conductive....
McMaster-Carr sells some pretty powerful, large fans. Some DC powered, some AC powered.
Also, there are some 6.75" fans at www.Sofasco.com.
I think I've settled on the Thermaltake Toughpower 650W Modular.
But then I read reviews praising the OCZ EvoStream 720W.
And all along we've all known that SeaSonic are rock solid. No way I...
Not to wake up the dead.....
But, doesn't anyone have a fear of this "non-conductive" fluid degrading over time and totally shorting out everything?
Where are the pictures????
:)
I was looking at getting one of those for my new build. I couldn't justify the price, though. It was almost perfect for my ideas... if it had been 100% exactly...
I've been doing some thinking....... Don't you normally rest your fingers on your keys? That wouldn't work with a touchscreen, unless you really engineered the screens properly. Not something that...
Even budget PDA's have touch-sensitive LCD screens. I don't understand the problems with implementing a new input device.
My 2-year old PDA (less than $400 brand spanking new after release) can...
