Re: Review: Aerocool M40 Cube case by DrumThumper

You should go for a Lanbox lite with the Palit "shorty" 4850s. They're cheaper and actually cool compared to the stock cooling. That'll allow you to use the HDD cage

I recommend the Corsair HX520...

Re: New Case Designs

$180 is totally stupid for a case that doesn't even protect your components

Re: what motherboard should i buy?

16GB is way overkill. 8GB is overkill most of the time as well, but it helps out a lot if you are using Vista which I am assuming you will be. Start with a nice 4GB kit with some low CAS then upgrade...

Re: How much juice for this PC?

Rosewill is an outlier in the lower end. I took a chance with my friend in buying an RP500-V2 and it's run quite solid, a little hotter than most but his case cools well so I'm not worried. I'd be...

Re: PCIe Sound Cards... worth it?

That "basic" card has some horrible reviews. Looks like a piece of **** based on the ratings given.

I agree with the sentiment, but that wasn't a good card to use as an example :P

Re: How much juice for this PC?

Raidmax makes horrid products to be quite honest. It's a very common mistake to buy a low quality PSU to keep costs low.

I'm not sure how much juice a GX2 sucks, but it has to be pretty up there. My...

Re: Water cooling is in!

Man, I don't think I'll ever have the need, money or time to invest in a watercooling setup. I'll never really understand it either, you'll still be using fans to cool the radiator amirite?

Pretty...

Re: What the heck??

Switch browsers. Opera is great, Flock is also good. I use Kazekahase, but I realize it's not exactly for everyone.

Firefox is quite a vulnerable program now that it has gained a substantial market...

Re: Memory questions (Dell Dimension 4700, etc.)

I don't know if it was a freak accident or what, but now my PSU is making a hissing noise and won't fully power my board. It just beeps, which the manual says is because no RAM is installed. I don't...

Re: Non-server Mobos that support 16/32GB RAM

I can't imagine a need for 32GB of RAM for anything but enterprise use.

Even 16GB is pushing it IMO.

Memory questions (Dell Dimension 4700, etc.)

I've been wanting to upgrade my mom's computer for awhile, so I thought I would give her the RAM in my current system. It's a stick of DDR2-667, 2GB capacity.

The specs on the technical...

Re: Intel at it again!

Kinda sad if you ask me.

No competition means less innovation, price drops etc. Hopefully AMD will pull through.

I've been hoping for a more mainstream solution, maybe a 3GB/s 150GB drive in 3.5" (no Ice-pak)

Sorry for double-posting. I've updated my list, since I don't think that going over 2gb of RAM is worth it right now. And for $35 after Rebate for a good brand, I couldn't find a better...

20 to 24 adapter?
