Re: Any alternatives to Modder's Mesh?

I once used the mesh backing for car air filters. Just go by any car place and ask for some used air filters. If they're aren't idiots, they'll realize that it would save them trash pickup money...

    Re: Rambus

Look at the user Sunnking on ebay, they usually have quite a bit of rambus and I have gotten some through them.

Indeed, prices have come down dramatically, but I wouldn't go out and buy an old P4...
  3. Re: anyone ever ordered from McMaster Carr before?

Every time I've ordered from them, the total it says when I checkout is what gets charged to the credit card, so I think they include shipping in the price of the items.

    Re: What does TBCS drive?

Good eye. 54 indeed, its still got the Blue Flame 235 straight six. And it's a Powerglide, standard on the Bel Air for that year.

But I can't drive it until I fix the carburetor.

Re: What do you use for computer audio?

Onboard Realtek HD for me. Although if I go with another board I'm thinking of, I'd need to use an external usb soundcard.

    Re: Another quick RAM question

Just to clarify, there isn't actually such a thing as "dual channel" memory. There are just dual channel kits that have been tested to run together in dual channel. ;)

    As far the for Intel...
  9. Re: +rep Need help with wireless routers

Those are encryptions systems for the wireless signal, like WEP.

    WPA and WPA2.

    Re: 230V instead of 115V

It shouldn't affect it, but I had a situation where the switch got switched accidentally from 110 to 220, the button got pushed, and *POOF* there goes the magic smoke from the psu. New psu...

    Re: Time dilation question

When traveling near the speed of light, time is supposed to be slower for those at the speed of light than those outside, of course, as you show. But it would still take you 10 years to get there,...

    Re: Benefit PC

That actually might be a good idea, if enough people are interested. :)

Update, the credit card company found the Newegg order suspicious, so they didn't charge it until we called today. :dead: It...

    Re: Benefit PC

Ok, update on my stuff. As soon as my order comes in from Newegg with my new hard drives and ram, I'll be able to send my AM2 mobo. I might think about sending my current 2gb ram kit, as well. ;)

    Re: Transformers freaking awsome

It depends on who's watching, Spawn-Inc. I watched all but the first four episodes of Full Metal Alchemist with the original Japanese dubs and English subs, and didn't have a problem.

    Isn't there...
  25. Re: How did the first computer you built turn out

First one I built was my dad's. Built it Christmas day, set it up in the living room, and ding! It worked!

I have had a power supply explode on me though...
