    Re: Where to buy Plexi?

I'm using 1/8" for the window and blow hole. If I was building a case out of plexi, I would use 1/4". 1/8" is not as sturdy and I don't think would make a good case. But, I've never built a plexi...

    Re: Where to buy Plexi?

If you are looking for a local place to buy some plexi, you can go to home depot. I bought 1/8" plexi about 2'x2' for around $6-8. They had a tool that you can use to score the plexi and then break...

Any time you remove your heatsink from the cpu you should clean both sides and put on new thermal compound. I seriously think this is where your problem is. You can use alcohol to clean the two,...

Re: Windows Xp wont load with second harddrive

How big is your power supply? Since you have the same problem when you plug an external in or if you plug in your second harddrive, it might be trying to draw too much power. It sounds like it's...

Re: What Realistic Upgrades Do You Plan To Make?

Me? First upgrade, new monitor. I'd like to have a flat screet lcd since they are smaller and lighter. RIght now I have a 19" CRT.

Yeah I had some really bad luck with Maxtor also. But, that was about 10 years ago, and I have heard that they have improved their quality greatly. When I used to repair DVR's the company I worked...

Re: Help on a quiet yet powerful psu please?

oh, another thing that might be making noise is to check if the mounting screws are tight enough. Maybe the case and psu are vibrating against each other

Re: Help on a quiet yet powerful psu please?

I agree with Maleficus. You could also try blowing the dust from inside your psu with some canned air.

You can find foam at a fabrics and crafts store. I was at one with my wife last week (scrapbooking stuff sale) and saw they had a ton in different shapes and sizes.

Re: Some questions about RAID arrays.

Yeah you are going to have to buy a RAID controller card. Here's one for pretty cheap.
What type of RAID array were you planning on going with anyways?
  17. Re: I need some help with my idea. B2 Bomber Computer.

If you do make this thing really big, maybe have the canopy open up and have the drive bays in there? Engine intakes could be intake fans. One thing you might do to get some more ideas on what you...

    I agree with XcOM.
I would first have nothing plugged into the mobo and try to boot up, it should still go through POST. It will fail because no harddrives are connected. then I would connect one...

Oh yeah, I forgot. The carcinogens are caused by the fat dripping into the fire and burning. If you cook with charcoal with indirect heat, you don't have to worry about it.

    Re: Grilling-Out Propane vs. Charcoal.

I prefer charcoal. I like the flavor of the smoke, and the smell of the smoke while it's cooking. Grilling out always makes me feel like I'm camping.
