Re: Looking for input on new phone.

I really think about switching from Verizon. Its just not a big enough deal for me to put up with the hassle of porting my my number to another carrier. Verizon seems to be more locked down with more...

Re: Looking for input on new phone.

Yup. Another example, I'm pretty sure that Google Wallet w/ the NFC payment isn't approved on Verizon but Verizon has a competing service that is approved. I'm not sure how the Verizon service works...

Re: Looking for input on new phone.

For sure. It's not so much that I want to root, but more that i would like to know it'll be possible if i ever need to. I'm mainly trying to future proof the phone by knowing that once verizon / the...

Re: Looking for input on new phone.

Thanks for all the input guys! I'll check those out and see how much they run. I didn't see any of them for sale through Verizon so I'd have to pay full price or go used. It could be worth it to not...

Re: Looking for input on new phone.

Yeah, from my experience, Verizon tends to load a lot of bloatware on to the phones they offer. I don't understand what drives them to do this. I could see if they are offering quality apps that add...

I'm due for an upgrade on my phone in the next few days here and was wondering if anyone had any input. I'm probably looking to get a top tier android device, but I'm not really sure what...

    Re: DDR2 Laptop Memory

Now that I look at it, 4 GB is def 30-50 depending on brand lol. I was previously just looking at 8 GB and they were all like 180 dollars. Maybe I don't really need the full 8.

    Hey all,

Seems like a long shot but I'm looking for some laptop memory. The tool on the crucial website says my laptop uses DDR2 PC2-6400.

    Re: Windows 8 - WTF?

Mouse and keyboard isn't bad, I could even say it's almost good. It looks like it would be really good on a tablet but I haven't had a chance to try that out as I don't own any tablet hardware. I...

Re: Steam Officially coming to Linux!

One of the posts sometime during the week mentioned that they were working with Vendors on driver support so this may end up being a good thing for the linux community as a whole.

    I can understand...

Re: Steam Officially coming to Linux!

Unless they do something to actively block it I could see it being ported to debian rather quickly, either by valve themselves or the community. Now steam on ARM... I don't see that coming lol.

    Re: Windows 8 Memory Requirements?

    Had another question.

The dell website says my laptop supports up to 4GB but some other websites are saying it supports up to 8. Could it actually be limited to 4GB or is it likely that Dell says...

    Re: Windows 8 Memory Requirements?

Well at least you can admit that it's over kill lol. Is 16 enough to just load the entirety of everything you have open in to memory and not have to worry about caching to the Hard Disk?

    I was...
