    Default New system plus DVR

Here's the deal. I want to build a new kick-ass system that can run todays games and tomorrows. But I also want to set up my system as a DVR for my new HD service that I'm getting. I've compiled a list of components that I thought would work. If someone is bored or feels like picking apart my selections. I look forward to the criticism. One thing before you pick this new pc apart. I only use nVidia cards. Better experiences and the like.

MB: Intel BOXDG33FBC LGA 775 Intel G33 ATX Intel Motherboard
    VC: GeForce 8800GTS 640MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16
    CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz 2 x 4MB L2 Cache LGA 775 Processor
    PS: Antec True Power Trio TP3-550 ATX12V 550W Power Supply with Three 12V Rails 100 - 240 V
HD Tuner: SABRENT TV-ATSC PCI Interface ATSC & Digital HDTV/Analog TV Tuner PCI Card

I have links to this stuff if anyone is interested. And I was going to go with 4gb Ram. But I need to find a good deal on DDR2.
    Thanks for looking.

    I'd recommend a better motherboard.

    Minty,
Ram has always been my issue. So is this good for the system?

My suggestion is to go for a bigger PSU. 550w should be fine, but start adding a few hdd's to that, etc, and you might find yourself running into problems.

I've got an OCZ Gamer Xstream 700w, and it's been stellar for me.

Ram timing. It has to do with latency...but what does it mean?

Those 2GB RAM modules got an ace review in CustomPC this month for a budget model. Though these: http://www.crucial.com/store/partspe...2KIT12864AA804 are supposed to be awesome and so easy to oc if you're into that sort of thing. Just wish I had a system good enough to find out for myself.
