Default I'm looking for a cool 3D screensaver

Right, I've got this new PC running pretty stable now.

XP pro, Athlon 64 3000, 1GB, GeForce 7500/256MB. So it should be reasonable. I'm looking for a visually stunning 3D screensaver to see how good it can look.
All the ones I've found seem suspicious, asking for email addresses etc... I don't want spyware, I just want a screensaver.

    Any suggestions?

    reallyslick.com

They will stress your system. Or try nVidia.com for some really heavy 3D stuff. you will have to search the site to find the savers.

Oh Snap! I was going to suggest that exact site!

Ok, well then look up VRman. I'm not sure he has a site anymore, but some of his stuff was really, err... slick also.

EDIT: BTW I used to work with the guy that wrote the SS's at reallyslick.com at SGI. We still have lunch once a month. Last time I spoke with him I encouraged him to write more. We'll see...

I wish I could share the Screensaver he wrote for an sgi system. It takes at least 4 processors, 2 high end graphics cards and 16 gb of memory just to load. To get 60 fps you need at least 8 processors and 3 GPU pipes and it helps to have 32gb of memory.

I will pass on the praise to him. It might encourage him to do more. I mentioned to him that I would like him to do a TBCS version of a screensaver in full OpenGL with lighting effects and all the cool visuals. I will bug him next week when I take him out for a pint.

What is OpenALwEAX.exe that's in the pack?

According to the readme, the openalweax.exe is the installer for the Open AL sound driver needed by the fireworks screensaver.

Hmmm....you want a 3d screensaver so you can use it (kinda like the shader test thing on games) to see if your computer can handle it?

    Yeah, what's wrong with that?
