Huh? Like PC-100 RAM? Or PC-2100? Cause I don't think any modern DDR-type memory runs at 100Mhz .

2100 is 266mhz, 2700 is 333, 3200 is 400... Another decent option is Crucial, you pay a little extra, but it comes with a lifetime warranty - not the best if you plan to overclock though... Matched pairs are better if you do plan to overclock, definitely

Make sure you check your motherboard's compatability with the different speeds of RAM. If you get PC2700 or PC3200 and it doesn't work.. its because your mothterboard does not support that speed. Its the same with FSB compatibility with processors. Check the manufacturers site for these specs if you can't find your manual. I would trust Crucial or Corsair for the high quality RAM, but if you are going for budget based value RAM, check out Kingston's.

I wasn't calling you stupid, just giving a reminder to check compatibility. Pretty much everyone that builds computers has compatibility problems at some point. Its a fact of life. I'm sorry if I maid you feel dumb.
